NBA Preview from The Sports Network

Friday, February 7th (All times Eastern)

Sacramento Kings (17-32) at Boston Celtics (17-33), 7:30 p.m.

(SportsNetwork.com) - The Boston Celtics will go for their first three-game winning streak since early December on Friday when they welcome the Sacramento Kings to TD Bank Garden.

The C's toppled the Orlando Magic at home, then knocked off the Philadelphia 76ers in Philly on Wednesday. The last time Boston won three consecutive games was Dec. 3-8 and since then, its record is just 7-21.

Jeff Green netted 36 points to lead the Celtics to a 114-108 win over the 76ers at Wells Fargo Center.

Green hit 5-of-7 from long distance and Jared Sullinger tallied 19 points, 10 rebounds, five assists and four blocks to help the Celtics.

"Honestly, I've just been letting go of everything," said Sullinger, who recorded his third straight double-double. "My dad came and told me face-to- face, 'your body language sucks, and it looks like you don't really care.' He told me to get back to my old ways, and ever since I've done that, everything has been clicking for me."

Rajon Rondo flirted with a triple-double in the triumph, finishing with eight points, 11 assists and nine rebounds, while Brandon Bass scored 18 points on 7-of-10 shooting.

Avery Bradley scored 12 of his 14 points in the first quarter for the Celtics. Jerryd Bayless added 11 off the bench.

The Kings have also taken two straight and their last three-game winning streak came Jan. 7-12. Their past two wins came at home and they embark on a four-game eastern road trip. Sacramento has dropped four in a row as the visitor.

On Wednesday, DeMarcus Cousins scored 25 points and pulled down 10 rebounds to lead the Kings to a 109-101 win over the Toronto Raptors at Sleep Train Arena.

Rudy Gay added 24 points, 10 rebounds and four steals and Isaiah Thomas finished with 23 points and five assists for the Kings. Marcus Thornton chipped in 12 and Jason Thompson also pulled down 10 boards as the whole starting frontcourt finished with double-figure rebound totals.

"I think we kept our composure, were very poised down the stretch, and came out with a good home victory," Cousins said.

The Kings were outshot by Toronto from the floor and from long range, but committed only 11 turnovers. They will visit the Washington Wizards, Cleveland Cavaliers and New York Knicks on this sojourn.

The Celtics have won nine of the last 11 meetings and five straight over Sacramento in Boston.
