NBA Preview from The Sports Network

Monday, January 27th (All times Eastern)

Los Angeles Clippers (31-15) at Milwaukee Bucks (8-35), 8 p.m.

(SportsNetwork.com) - The Pacific-leading Los Angeles Clippers will put the final touches on their seven-game road trip when they take on the Milwaukee Bucks Monday night at the Bradley Center.

The Clippers are 4-2 on the 12-day Grammy road trip and recorded a 126-118 victory in Toronto on Saturday. They were able to hang on for the victory even though Raptors forward Terrence Ross was able to pour in 51 points on 16-of-29 shooting.

"I guess we left the defense when we were at customs," Clippers coach Doc Rivers said. "Before the game I must have put a jinx on it. I asked who the shooters were on the Toronto team and they said everybody but Ross. He was everything. He's not just a dunker, he's a shooter."

Jamal Crawford countered for Los Angeles with 37 points and 11 assists off the bench, while All-Star Blake Griffin added 30 points. J.J. Redick had 18 points in the win, as the Clippers shot 54.8 percent from the field and made 12-of-22 3-pointers.

Redick experienced discomfort in his back and needed treatment.

"It felt good enough," Redick said. "I definitely feel like adrenaline and activating everything else helped. It made me functional enough."

Griffin is five assists shy of 1,000 in his career and leads the team with 22.8 ppg this season. He has scored 25-plus points in his last four games, averaging 27.0 ppg in that stretch.

The Clippers have won 10 of 13 games in the new year and are 13-12 as the visitor this season. They will return to Hollywood for a matchup with Washington on Wednesday.

Milwaukee has the worst record in the NBA at 8-35 and will continue a three- game homestand Monday.

The Bucks opened the residency with Saturday's 112-87 loss to the Atlanta Hawks, as Brandon Knight scored a game-high 27 points and Ersan Ilyasova added 11 points and 13 rebounds. Khris Middleton had 11 points as well, while John Henson posted 10 points and 10 boards.

"I'm disappointed in everybody, myself included. We're just not playing hard enough," Bucks head coach Larry Drew said.

Drew's squad has lost 11 of its last 12 games and will take on the Phoenix Suns Wednesday. The Bucks are just 4-16 at home this season and have lost five of the past six games in Brew City.

The Bucks and Clippers will play the first of two matchups this season and are scheduled to square off March 24 at Staples Center. The Clippers took both meetings last season and are 12-4 in the last 16 contests in this series.

L.A. snapped a three-game series road losing streak with a 111-85 triumph at the Bradley Center on Dec. 15, 2012.
