NBA Game Summary - LA Lakers at Milwaukee

(Thursday, March 27th)

Final Score: Milwaukee 108, LA Lakers 105

Milwaukee, WI (SportsNetwork.com) - Brandon Knight poured in a game-high 30 points to lead Milwaukee to a 108-105 win over the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday.

Ramon Sessions netted 22 and Khris Middleton scored 14 for the Bucks, who snapped an eight-game skid. John Henson, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Zaza Pachulia added 10 points apiece, with Henson and Antetokounmpo chipping in seven rebounds each.

"We probably ran more pick-and-roll than any other game we played. But we really were just focused on trying to open up the floor," Bucks head coach Larry Drew said.

Jordan Hill scored 28 and brought down 16 rebounds and Nick Young added 17 points for the Lakers, who have lost five of their last seven. Chris Kaman and Jodie Meeks scored 13 and 10, respectively in defeat.

"This is the NBA where anyone can win on any night," Young said.

The Bucks held the largest lead of the contest three minutes into the final period when they led by 12 points, 94-82, before a 12-5 surge by Los Angeles brought them back within five. Milwaukee, however, scored the next four points to make the margin nine with 2 1/2 minutes to play.

Young made two 3-pointers around a Hill basket as an 8-2 run brought the Lakers within three, 105-102, with 16.7 seconds left on the clock. Sessions then found a wide open Pachulia under the hoop for an easy layup to push the differential to five.

Kent Bazemore responded with a 3-pointer to bring the Lakers within 107-105 with two seconds left to play, and Sessions split a pair from the line for the final points of the tilt.

Milwaukee jumped out to an early 15-7 lead 4 1/2 minutes into the contest, but the Lakers responded with a 21-4 run. Xavier Henry capped the surge with a slam to make it 28-19.

The Bucks fired back with a 7-2 spurt and trailed 30-26 after the first quarter.

Young scored seven of the Lakers' first nine points through the first 2:45 of the second frame before a 19-4 outburst put the Bucks ahead 49-43 with 3 1/2 left in the first half. Los Angeles was able to cut the lead to 55-53 thanks to a 6-2 flurry over the final 1 1/2 minutes of the quarter.

The Bucks stretched their advantage to eight points halfway through the third quarter before Los Angeles knotted the game at 75 apiece with 3:10 on the clock. The Bucks closed out the third with a 10-3 burst and carried an 87-80 lead into the final frame.
