NBA Preview from The Sports Network

Tuesday, January 7th (All times Eastern)

Golden State Warriors (23-13) at Milwaukee Bucks (7-26), 8 p.m.

(SportsNetwork.com) - The Golden State Warriors go for their 10th consecutive victory on Tuesday night when they visit the Milwaukee Bucks at the Bradley Center.

The Warriors haven't lost since a home setback on Dec. 19 to the San Antonio Spurs. They are 5-0 on this current eastern road trip, which will end Wednesday in Brooklyn.

With a victory on Tuesday against the Bucks, Golden State will have won 10 consecutive games in one season for the first time since 1975.

"It means something because it's history," Golden State head coach Mark Jackson said.

David Lee had 21 points, 11 rebounds and six assists as the Warriors routed the Washington Wizards 112-96 Sunday to notch their sixth straight road victory, which is their longest streak since 2005.

Klay Thompson netted 26 points, while Andrew Bogut added 15 points and 11 boards for the Warriors. Steph Curry also notched a double-double with 14 points and 10 assists and Harrison Barnes finished with 13.

The Bucks return home from a three-game road trip, where they went 1-2. They bested the Los Angeles Lakers on New Year's Eve, but dropped the last two in Utah and Phoenix.

Against the Suns on Saturday, Phoenix cruised to a 116-100 victory. It was Milwaukee's fifth loss in its last seven and 10th in the last 12 outings.

Brandon Knight scored 25 points and dished out eight assists and O.J. Mayo scored 20 points off the bench for the Bucks. Caron Butler finished with 16 and Ersan Ilyasova managed 12 points in defeat.

Milwaukee allowed 38 points off a season-high 26 turnovers in the setback.

That turnover total is what doomed the Bucks. They shot 54.4 percent from the field and 47.6 percent from long range and held the Suns under those percentages.

John Henson began practicing, but won't play against Golden State. He has been out of action with a left ankle sprain and is targeting a return over the weekend.

It should be interesting to see how the Bucks come out. There were reports that Gary Neal and Larry Sanders had some sort of altercation in the locker room.

The Bucks play four of their next six on the road.

Milwaukee has won three straight and seven of its last eight against the Warriors. The Bucks have taken four in a row and nine of their last 12 at home in this series.
