1/13/2014 8:14:00 PM
Description: New Orleans power forward Ryan Anderson will need at least two months to recover from a herniated disk in his back. SOURCE: John Reid, New Orleans Times-Picayune
Insight: He may even need surgery. Anderson, who is averaging a career-high 19.8 ppg this season, leads the NBA in free throw shooting at 95.2 percent. Obviously, this is a crushing blow to fantasy owners who had been relying on Anderson's excellent touch from beyond the arc (40.9 percent this season).

1/7/2014 11:32:00 AM
Description: Pelicans forward Ryan Anderson has been diagnosed with a herniated disc and is out indefinitely.
Insight: Anderson's absence could be good for Anthony Davis as he'll play most of his minutes against power forwards instead of bigger centers. Center Alexis Ajinca posted a season-high 17 points on Saturday in his second start of the season.

1/4/2014 4:25:00 PM

Hot1/1/2014 10:28:00 PM

11/26/2013 7:23:00 PM
Description: It's been business as usual for New Orleans forward Ryan Anderson since he returned from a toe injury.
Insight: Anderson has attempted 6.5 threes per game and made 53.8 percent of them. While he won't remain this hot all season, he will be one of the top 3-point gunners in the NBA.

11/16/2013 10:36:00 PM
Description: New Orleans power forward Ryan Anderson (foot) drilled six threes and scored 26 points in his season debut Saturday against the 76ers.
Insight: Anderson missed the team's first nine games with a toe injury but he jumped right in Saturday. Make sure he's in your lineup moving forward.

Description: New Orleans power forward Ryan Anderson is slated to return Saturday night against the Sixers. SOURCE: John Reid, New Orleans Times-Picayune
Insight: He missed the team's first nine games with a toe injury. Anderson made the second-most three-pointers in the NBA last season and should once again be among the league's top shooters from behind the arc.

11/11/2013 4:34:00 PM
Description: Pelicans forward Ryan Anderson, who was upgraded to day-to-day Friday, is still without an exact timetable for his return. SOURCE: nola.com
Insight: "It could be tomorrow, it could be a week," New Orleans coach Monty Williams said Sunday. Anderson's most recent X-ray showed the same crack in his toe. "I’m taking it a bit easier," Anderson said. "I was trying to go hard on it. One day I tried to run up and down and played a bit of three-on-three in practice and it just started to really hurt a lot. I just needed to stop and take it a bit easier."

11/8/2013 2:23:00 PM
Description: Pelicans forward Ryan Anderson, who was expected to miss 1-3 weeks with a small fracture in the second toe of his right foot, has been upgraded and could play as early as Friday night.
Insight: Anthony Davis, Jason Smith, Tyreke Evans and Al-Farouq Aminu have been absorbing Anderson's minutes, but will shortly have to yield them back.

Description: Pelicans forward Ryan Anderson will miss 1-3 weeks with a small fracture in the second toe of his right foot, according to NBA.com.
Insight: Team doctors examined Anderson and found the injury after he experienced discomfort during practice. Look for Anthony Davis, Jason Smith, Tyreke Evans and Al-Farouq Aminu to absorb Anderson's minutes.

Description: Hornets forward Ryan Anderson kicked in five threes as part of a 23-point game Sunday against the Cavs.
Insight: Anderson has scored 20 or more points in five of the last seven but he had eight points apiece in the other two.

3/15/2013 9:45:00 PM
Description: Apparently Ryan Anderson's shot was sick too because he only made 1-of-10 from 3-point range Friday against the Wizards. He finished with 13 points in 35.5 minutes.
Insight: Anderson played through an illness so we'll give him a pass. Three-point percentage doesn't count in most fantasy leagues anyway.

3/15/2013 6:35:00 PM
Description: New Orleans power forward Ryan Anderson (illness) missed Tuesday's game but he's active for Friday's contest, according to team reporter Jennifer Hale.
Insight: Anderson is a viable fantasy option averaging 16.7 ppg, 6.5 rpg and 2.8 threes per contest. He doesn't need to be 100 percent to knock down shots from downtown.

3/15/2013 12:04:00 PM
