NBA Game Summary - Sacramento at Oklahoma City

(Sunday, January 19th)

Final Score: Oklahoma City 108, Sacramento 93

Oklahoma City, OK (SportsNetwork.com) - Kevin Durant tallied 30 points and nine assists to lead the Oklahoma City Thunder to a 108-93 win over the Sacramento Kings from Chesapeake Energy Arena.

Durant shot 10-of-15 from the floor and added six rebounds and four steals as an encore to his career-best 54 points in Friday's win over Golden State. The 25-year-old has picked up his play of late with Russell Westbrook sidelined, averaging a league-high 36.1 points in the month of January.

"KD is a special player," said Thunder head coach Scott Brooks. "Some nights he's going to have a high scoring game. I just like the way he thinks. He thinks about the team. He had nine assists tonight. He took 15 great shots and made 10 of them."

Serge Ibaka donated 20 points in the Thunder's third straight victory. Reggie Jackson scored 16 points while Thabo Sefolosha, Nick Collison and Jeremy Lamb all had 10.

"He (Durant) found a way to get us some easy shots and the offense worked for us," said Jackson.

The loss spoiled a career-high 38 points by Isaiah Thomas, who hit 12-of-13 from the stripe in the setback. DeMarcus Cousins added 16 points and 14 rebounds as the Kings fell to 1-3 on their current six-game road trip.

Sacramento's 20 turnovers led to 34 Thunder points.

"We just have to do a better job of valuing the basketball," said Sacramento head coach Mike Malone. "On the road, you can't beat yourself and your opponent in the same game, it's impossible."

The Kings led 30-28 after the first period thanks to 14 points from their young floor general.

Thomas picked up where he left off in the second with a 3-pointer on Sacramento's second possession. He then drew a foul shooting a 3 and sank the ensuing free throws, giving him 20 points less than 14 minutes into the contest.

Thomas checked out for a few minutes but came back in with Sacramento down by two and moments later converted a transition layup to tie it at 43-apiece at 4:04. OKC then went on a 12-4 run highlighted by Ibaka's three-point play, but Thomas added five free throws down the stretch to pull the Kings within 57-52 at the break.

The Thunder used a 12-2 surge early in the third period to pull away. Durant's stepback 3 at 2:05 made it 82-67, and Oklahoma City wasn't challenged after that.

Early in the fourth quarter, Sacramento forward Rudy Gay received a pair of technicals and was ejected from the game, as OKC rolled to a lopsided victory.

Game Notes

Thunder center Kendrick Perkins had his halfcourt heave rim out at the halftime buzzer. Perkins is now 0-for-13 in his career from 3-point range ... OKC has taken the first two of four meetings this season ... The Kings outscored OKC 54-38 in the paint but shot just 5-of-17 from the arc.
