NBA Game Summary - LA Clippers at Golden State

(Thursday, January 30th)

Final Score: Golden State 111, LA Clippers 92

Oakland, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - There were no incidents leading to ejections in Thursday's Warriors-Clippers showdown, but there was a virtual beatdown.

David Lee and Stephen Curry poured in 22 points apiece on a combined 18-of-25 shooting display as Golden State pummeled Los Angeles 111-92 with relative ease.

Lee also grabbed 11 rebounds and Curry handed out seven assists for the Warriors, who snapped out of a 2-5 slump by outscoring the Clippers in the paint by an absurd 66-22 margin.

"We made them work," Golden State head coach Mark Jackson said. "We executed offensively, defensively and we really battled. We were locked in."

Klay Thompson contributed 16 points to the wire-to-wire win, and Andrew Bogut added 14 with 17 rebounds.

Blake Griffin, who was ejected when these teams met on Christmas Day following an altercation with Bogut, paced the Pacific Division-leading Clippers with 27 points. Darren Collison followed with 22 points, while DeAndre Jordan pulled down 20 rebounds in the setback.

"We knew we were coming into a hostile environment and we didn't respond as a team," Clippers forward Matt Barnes admitted.

Los Angeles' night was summed up by its 1-for-15 showing from the field in an 11-point third quarter. The Clippers had won four in a row coming in but found little offensive success after the break.

One of their few runs came late in the second quarter to pull within 64-56 at halftime after trailing by as many as 19 in the first half.

From there, however, it was all Warriors, who stretched their lead to 22 by opening the third quarter on a 16-2 run, with six points coming from Lee.

J.J. Redick's 3-pointers briefly stopped the flurry with 5:37 on the clock, but that proved to be the Clippers' only field goal the entire quarter.

The Warriors brought a 90-67 cushion into the fourth, and the closest the Clippers got from there was 13.
