NC State freshman forward Caleb Martin underwent foot surgery over the weekend, NC State athletics announced Sunday.
The team's orthopedic surgeon, Dr. David Boone, performed surgery to heal a fracture in the fifth metatarsal in Martin's right foot. The injury occurred prior to Martin arriving on campus.
Martin, a native of Mocksville, N.C., is expected to recover in 8-12 weeks.
The 6'6", 183 pound forward is a four star recruit who most recently played at Oak Hill Academy. His twin brother Cody Martin is also an incoming freshman forward at NC State.
