Greensboro, N.C. — North Carolina State freshman T.J. Warren averaged 19.3 points and 4.7 rebounds per game during the Puerto Roco Tip-Off and for that, was named the ACC Rookie of the Week.
The Wolfpack won each of their first two games on the island with Warren scoring 22 points against Penn State and followed up with 21 against Massachusetts. Warren added 15 points in a championship game loss to Oklahoma State Sunday, but wrapped the three-game tournament with 14 rebounds.
It ws the second consecutive week an NC State player earned the honor after Rodney Purvis claimed it on the season’s opening week.
Florida State’s Michael Snaer was named the ACC Player of the Week after the Seminoles went 3-0 in the Coaches vs. Cancer Classic. Snaer averaged 16.3 points, 5.6 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game for the week and recorded a double-double against BYU.
