NCCU's Frazier suspended after arrest

Durham, N.C. — Henry Frazier III, head football coach at North Carolina Central University, was suspended from his job Tuesday, a day after he was arrested on a charge of violating a domestic violence protective order. His court date is set for September 30.
Frazier will be paid by the university, the school said in a statement, "while the matter is being investigated by legal authorities."
It is the second suspension for Frazier, who took over Central's football program in December 2010. He missed a couple of months on the job last summer after a fight with his wife resulted in an assault charge.
NC Central opens the football season Aug. 31 at Duke. Dwayne Foster, assistant head coach, will serve as acting head football coach during Frazier's suspension.
