I appreciate the honest answer. You're right. The gift of higher education at any of the fine UNC system schools is a blessing that many other young people in other states do not get to enjoy.

How do that play like hoods? The one big difference I see is in CJ Leslie. He has matured alot since last year. Its clear that CJ has been the most consistent player. State hasnt beaten anybody, but i thinks the future look bright. Now coach can you get through to Scott Wood, and Richard Howell?

As this post confirms, always good to see the Tar Holes are still so obsessed and concerned with the exciting evolution of the Pack team under Gottfried, that they have to post some pre-emptive negativity and cast doubt. Swofford can try and remove the UNC rivalry game before we start kicking your btts again, but it will not matter.

I hope he can help get Wood back on track. He's in a bad slump. Maybe he can also help Howell learn how to defend without commiting cheap fouls. Like I've said before, just give the man some time. I like what I see so far, except for not winning the close ones.

It is obvious that the "feel" around NC State basketball is totally different this year than it was last year.....maybe it doesn't show up totally in the results, but there have been games where last year's team might have folded...this year's team didn't.
If you can't see the program with an upward trajectory, not just on the court this year, but in recruiting for next year, you are not looking very hard.

i agree. it will take time to wash off the stink of mediocrity and the "losing is acceptable" attitude within the players and the program. i experienced that in high school playing football on losing teams my last two years. after a while, losing becomes a foregone conclusion and everyone expects it. that mentality is isn't as easy to get rid of as people think.

Gottfried and the team need to analyze their game. There is no energy in the coach or team unless they are on a run. This team needs at least one person who believes in his team and will "NEVER GIVE UP".Coach if you have a player that can't handle losing then get that young man off the end of bench that really wants to play. PUT ME IN COACH

We need players that can dance and we will start winning. No, but seriously we are one step and a few games from being in the top 4 teams in the ACC. A few more good players on the bench and we are a contender in the acc. After many years of waiting I hope I'm right! Go Pack!
