Should John Swofford Resign ?

RE: Should John Swofford Resign ?

So, at the same time many of your brethren are crying about the ACC not keeping "traditional rivalries" sacrosanct, you think that commissioners who know absolutely nothing about the ACC would somehow be better? Honestly, I'm laughing because I doubt very seriously that you cared about the affiliations of any commissioner prior to Swofford and that the only reason you care about his affiliation is because it is with UNC which you loathe.

why do you keep avoiding my point about there being an OBVIOUS conflict of interest??

and

what makes you think running the ACC is different than running any other league in America??? ie- WHO cares what they know about the ACC... what did BUBBA know about "unc athletics" before he was hired on to CLEAN up the mess left him by baddour???

also, no one has ventured a GUESS as to WHY swofford made himself available for unc's NCAA review, but NOT for GT or Miami's....

If that REALITY (every one AVOIDING that question like the plague) shocked me, in any way... I'd gladly say so.

Should we have a foreigner as the President of the United States? Way too much conflict if you are a citizen.....right?

you could reach a lil further, if you had sam perkins' sleeve length.

the President has checks and balances under him to prevent any FAVORTISM... the acc commissioner???

try again.

You seem to be forgetting about the 12 member presidents whom he answers to.

Educate me on how the office is run. I just pay attention to the sports that are being played not the behind the scenes BS! So a conference commish has the power of a dictator and can do whatever he/she wants? Wow.........

did he or did he NOT attend unc's NCAA hearing???

did he or did he NOT attend miami or GT's hearings???

LOL

so, you think he bounced the idea of ONLY going to unc's investigative hearing (in the spirit of making sure a member school wasn't taken advantage of) and NOT going to other affected school's hearings, off of the other school's presidents BEFORE doing just that???

well then, a LINK should be real easy to find.

RE: Should John Swofford Resign ?

Swofford's job is to improve the ACC. To think that this person is going to show favoritism to one school to the detriment of the rest of the league is beyond dumb.

then it shouldn't be too hard for you to explain WHY swofford felt the need to be at unc's investigative hearing, and NOT at GT or Miami's.

right???

hurry back with that.

Do we have confirmation that Swofford was invited to the GT and Miami hearings? I have no idea, just asking.

he IS the ACC commisioner, and THEY ARE member schools... only seems reasonable that he would have REQUESTED to have been there, if he intended on attending another member school's IDENTICAL type hearing.

no???

Not to nit/pic here but it sounds like you are basing your opinion on one thing......the hearings?

Have these 2 schools complained about him not going? Did they invite him? Did they ask him to stay away?

Dont you think if it were an issue that these schools would be blasting him in the public eye?

I simply posed a question that NO ONE has answered....

and, if they did not invite him, then when he was invited by another member school, the FAIR and EQUITABLE thing to do would have been to politely reject their invitation based on the REALITY that he hadn't attended other member school's IDENTICAL meeting, and thus felt like that would show favortism.

alas, that's the FAIR and EQUITABLE thing to do, and you can't rightly expect that to happen when you have a former employee of one school supposedly doing what's best for 12 schools.

LOL, so now I'm supposed to read miami and GT's minds???

why?? not everyone takes their disdain for injustice to the "public eye".

btw- you have STILL NOT answered the question.

was him going to ONLY unc's hearing what is best for someone that purports to hold ALL 12 school's best interests in mind???

yes or no?

thanks.

The hardest part of being a State fan is not only do you have to deal with the constant losing, but you also have to deal with the fact that a good chunk of your fellow fans are completely off their rockers.
