Gotta love pack fans...they push for the pack and dook....I hope the pack can give their fan's something this season....they are funny to hear from and deserve any kind of consolation prize...

I feel the same exact way, about the few hundred tar hole "football fans" that are out there.

State has another chance to beat some teams with tournament cred: UVa and UNC. Two wins vs. BC and UVa might do it. Amazing after the egg they laid at Clemson to finish up a 4 game losing streak. Gottfried needs to tell his boys that the NIT won't do and make it NCAA or bust.

They would have been better to play in the bracket with Fla. State and Duke. Those two wins would definitely put them in.

I agree that it would have almost been better to wind up 6 th. I can see them beating BC and UVA but UNC is playing lights out. But they had to win at VA Tech

If the Pack wins over BC and UVA, they end up essentially tied with UVA in stats. How does UVA get in and State not at that point?

UVA`s out of conference wins. Beating UVA would put state closer to the bubble
but would probably depend on other conference tourneys.

WHICH OOC wins for UVA???? I count ONE quality win OOC for uva- Michigan

if State is lucky enough to advance to play uva and then beats them, their ticket is as a good as punched.

that (a top 50 win) is the ONLY thing missing currently from State's resume.

Anything short of that, the pack is NIT bound.

In order to get into the NCAA Tournament you have to prove that you at least have some chance of beating the other teams that will be there. It's about winning games against top-tier opponents.

If Miami is on the bubble, then State doesn't get in. Miami has beaten FSU and Duke -- top 25 teams. State has yet to beat a team in the top 50.

Basically, State needs other teams to win (Texas/Miami/etc) to retroactively make themselves look worthy of a bid.

I would mostly agree with that. I think if State beats Virginia they have a 50/50 shot of getting in depending on how other bubble teams are doing. If they make it to the ACC Championship, they're in 100%.
