amile jefferson waiting?

RE: amile jefferson waiting?

Amile is waiting to announce primarily because he can.
Calvin is waiting to announce primarily because he has to.

that couldn't sound more ignorant.

if it tried.

RE: amile jefferson waiting?

LOL.
nutSAC succeeds at showing his ignorance...
without even trying.
...what pray tell is the problem with lack of diversity?

RE: amile jefferson waiting?

I can't imagine any athlete waiting to announce because he "has to." What would be the "has to" part? It is his choice, no one is forcing him to wait.

I could understand a high schooler having to wait to make sure they met all of the requirements to enter college. But a current college player doesn't have a "has to wait" issue. Grades don't dictate returning or going pro. Grades only dictate eligibility if one does return. Summer school affords many athletes the opportunity to regain eligibility. It is not like they are taking 21 hours of classes per semester.

Bingo.
And sometimes, summer school may not be enough.

Still doesn't explain the "has to" comment you made. With two sessions of summer school, he could make up everything not passed this semester. As I said before, they don't take heavy loads each semester.

If one struggles to pass 4 'regular' classes, then passing 2 full summer sessions at an 'accelerated rate' would be a formidable task, to say the least.

In addition, there are guidelines as to how many hours/which classes can be re-taken in order to "replace" your grades...and that is assuming the classes in need are available.

If 'Team Calvin' were confident he would be a 1st round (guaranteed contract) pick, then he would have declared before now. He is not projected that high. As such, he has approximately 2 weeks to get his grade situation to a point where a feasible academic game-plan can be devised for him to return/stay in school. That game-plan can not be devised as of yet...he has to wait until the grade picture becomes clearer.

RE: amile jefferson waiting?

True, agree with you there. Either way, hopefully we will see him in the ACC next year, helping 1 of us to beat UNC.

You might not like what State will do to your dukies next year. May not be so friendly when State and Carolina are beating up on that azz.
