Well, now we know (Mustafa Greene)
Looks like Mustafa has had a run-in or two with the law here lately.
http://www.frumpzilla.com/frumpzilla_site/articles/probably-why-mustafa-isnt-practicingMisdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Not good. With the marine's track record of discipline, at least we can now deduce why Mustafa has not been practicing. I was afraid we were self-investigating an NCAA violation or something. It's
almost a relief that this is all it is. (I said ALMOST!)
I just hope it's a lesser drug like marijuana and not crack or heroin or something.
Also, he's apparently not the best driver, either.

Btw, I found this topic being discussed here, so it's only fair to link back to it.

RE: Well, now we know (Mustafa Greene)
I just read the story about Chris Washburn. He made some mistakes with drugs, and he has turned his life around now after 10 years of being clean. He is working and enjoying his life. Great for him and all others like him. I can't kick Greene down. He too made a mistake. He will learn and grow from this. He's still a great athlete with promise.

i hope TOB makes greene do 1,000,000 extra up-and-down boogies in addition to a multi-game suspension. dumb mistake by a kid, yes....but he has to learn that his actions have consequences somehow.

I figure that is exactly what is happening. I don't think you kick a guy off the team for one misdemeanor drug paraphernalia conviction and a bad driving record. But if TOB is the disciplinarian they say he is, I expect Mustafa is having a very tough time right about now. :)

And all this time I thought NCSU did not recruit these types of players. Well, that's at least what many of the NCSU fans on here have told us.

You have it backwards. Carolina does, but claims not to. When we call you on that, you twist it and try to imply we're saying our own nose is clean. We're not the ones continually putting ourselves on the "classy" pedestal when it isn't true.
But what matters most is not getting a "perfect" kid that has never and will never make a mistake. What matters most is how you deal with it when a kid makes a mistake. In that regard, TOB is the guy I'm glad is in charge. Butch, not so much. Can't speak for Fedora yet, but no doubt he will be tested. There are still plenty of Butch leftovers hanging around to test him.

But getting back on topic... maybe something else is in play here:
Mark Armstrong @ArmstrongWTVD
Mustafa Greene is NOT sitting out of spring practice as a result of his pending court dates, though they are certainly more logs on the fire.
TOB has been made aware of the charges Greene is facing and 'they'll be dealt with appropriately'
Greene was being limited anyway, but was told to sit out for other non-specific 'get your house in order' reasons.
RE: Well, now we know (Mustafa Greene)
Kick him out. Zero tolerance for drugs. Give his scholarship to another athlete who won't squander his chance.
