Another CJL blog
People ask why CJL hasn't announced that he is returning.
"What is he waiting for?"
"He must be a 'Prima Dona' that wants attention."
"He's yanking your chains."
blah blah blah
Well, something happened today that illustrates exactly why he isn't making his announcement yet. He WANTS to be in the NBA (we already know that, thanks Captain Obvious!) Point is, he hasn't quite made up his mind yet. He still may jump. He's probably borderline in his decision and waiting for more information.
What information could that be, you ask?
Another great player declared for the draft today. Andre Drummond. He's a 6'10" one-and-done center for UConn. I believe he's projected to go 5th in the draft. This is yet another player that would push Calvin one more notch down the list. At this point, no more players are withdrawing their name from the NBA draft pool (they can't!) But more players can still enter the draft. And that is happening. With each GREAT player that enters, it pushes Calvin just a little bit closer to returning to State.
THAT, friends, is a very acceptable reason for not announcing anything. Don't announce until you KNOW what you're going to do. After all, what good would it do anyone if he announced he was returning to State, and later entered the draft? I say take as long as you want, and do what you gotta do, Calvin.
RE: Another CJL blog
^^^only folks that post in a thread about it
RE: Another CJL blog
You mean only folks WHO post in a thread about it oh uneducated one. They didn't teach math or grammar at that stellar college you attended did they?
RE: Another CJL blog
Who cares?

Based on his posts lately, your boy ssjack seems to care quite a bit about this.
Since you asked.
RE: Another CJL blog
What a wonderful evening. Since TH23 doesn't care about CJL and the Pack then we should not have to waste our time with his ideas on this particular thread. Please bow out gracefully. Oh ... if only the rest of the haters could follow his lead. And before you get all bent out of shape, I do not even read or post in Carolina's blog. I could care less what you all are doing. Go Pack!
RE: Another CJL blog
This one on CJ has worn out the time and the ink. He is a great young player, and I hope that he makes the right decision.
RE: Another CJL blog
Today is Friday the 13th...he has until 4/29 to announce....he is being smart actually...not holding anyone at bay...the UNC fans might want to hold on cause they can still lose McAdoo...hard to figure if he is a projected top 10 pick why he is not jumping...CJL would have...thats a no brainer...if there was no strike last year, the draft picks would not be a s crowded as it is...good luck to all on today being Friday the 13th...:)...GO PACK!!!

Drummond has been a one and done since he signed - did CJL move up when Cody Zeller decided to come back?
When players make decisions they usually take into account what other players may go - whether those other players have declared or not- if you go on ESPN site they have draft profiles on all players and where they would go if they declared -even CJL
It is a tough choice - not only do these players have draft decisions to make they also have to think about injuries, next year's draft - playing time next season etc... CJL has given mixed messages to Gott and the coach only wants an answer - the sooner the answer the better for Gottfried and it seems for State fans also
State fans are understandably on edge and just want a decision

Until your team actually DOES something, doesn't really matter to me...I don't have to guard anyone...lol. I just think it's a sign that cj is more conflicted than is required. If he comes back, good for him. I just don't want him stumbling down the lane and falling on one of our players. If he goes, he's richer than most people, no matter what position he gets drafted in. It's a risk either way,and that will not change no matter what he does. If you want to argue it either way, I'm sure we can find plenty of flaws. it is what it is...I'm just glad mcadoo, and the other players didn't put us through this kind of game.
