Reckless driving is a misdemeanor, not a felony. Therefore, there are numerous crimes that the General Assembly deems to be more serious than reckless driving. Greene may have been charged for it due to the speed alone without having made any dangerous movements with his vehicle. If/when he is convicted, TOB will deal with it. Find a new soapbox.- Posted by NCSU79
Most of that sounds like NCSU except we don't have a stash growing at the Abroetum like Mustafa. And who said anything about criminal charges? I'm talking about the American way, innocent until proven guilty. The Wolfies on this board that condemned the entire football team for what less than 10 finally were found guilty of, and condemned the entire tutoring system for what one tutor was found guilty of, were as thick as flies on a fresh cow patty out in the quad.- Posted by NCSU79- Posted by The GodfatherI got a great laugh out of this Mr. 79. After your posts on the NCAA investigation at UNC and your condemnation of the athletes, tutors, and program, for you to lecture us on "due process" and "burden of proof" now is absolutely hysterical. I'm looking for a word to use here, starts with an H, ends in a Y, but it's just not coming to me...hmmm, oh, wait, that's it, hooey! (fooled you on that one)Don't forget "presumption of innocence", "burden of proof" and "beyond a reasonable doubt". Maybe ssjack830 is in favor of roadside trials conducted by the arresting officer.- Posted by NCSU79
I don't recall any criminal charges resulting from the NCAA investigation of UNC that would warrant the use of the terms "presumption of innocence", "burden of proof" or "beyond a reasonable doubt", which are all terms used in connection with criminal charges. What was exposed at UNC was all manner of non-criminal corruption (gifts and favors to athletes, an agent-runner on the coaching staff, an agent teaching summer school, plagiarism, inflated grades, and a broken honor court system) that apparently no one in authority is determined to clean up.
yeah it's YOUR player, still on the team, trying to get himself or someone else killed...can easily see your outrage...what a blind homer.- Posted by NCSU79- Posted by The GodfatherI got a great laugh out of this Mr. 79. IF THERE WERE DEAD CHILDREN LYING AROUND I'M SURE YOU WOULD BE SAYING "PRESUMPTION OF INNOCENCE...WAIT FOR THE TRIAL.IN THE MEANTIME LET HIM. nc state...where they really care. only about winning no matter what. yrs of frustration has turned many of your fan base into worse than anything marvin ever did...The "presumption of innocence" only applies in criminal trials. In the court of public opinion, we draw our own conclusions based upon the available evidence. As I recall, you claimed that UNC's only problem was a rogue assistant and that UNC need not voluntarily skip the Independence Bowl because no post-season ban would be included in the sanctions. UNC obviously had problems throughout the football program. If Mustafa's situation is symptomatic of a program-wide problem, I'm sure the BOG will call for an independent investigation.- Posted by NCSU79
