Generous State Fans Give one dollar each for Kay Yow Cancer Fund

Generous State Fans Give one dollar each for Kay Yow Cancer Fund

We’ve had tremendous response from the Wolfpack nation,” said head coach Tom O’Brien. “We’ve raised over $100,000 in the last three years by asking for a donation. We ask everybody to drop a dollar in the bucket.”

RE: Generous State Fans Give one dollar each for Kay Yow Cancer Fund

1) "ask everybody to drop a dollar in the bucket" - means some gave more.
2) Not your concern, as we're not your rival.
3) What charitable organization does UNC support with its spring game?

Taking snippets of an interview out of context to make what would pass for a cogent point is bad form, even for you.

Little low cuss, how much did UNC donate to charity in their spring game?

Just going by the "attendance" verses the amount of money collected. Unless the attendance was just reported incorrectly.

The fans dropped in what they were asked to, but I'm still waiting for your answer to what charity UNC fans supported in their scrimmage game and how much did they raise? What I thought. Somehow even 1 dollar seems better than nothing at all, doesn't it? So NCSU has raised more than 130,000 dollars in the last 4 years at their scrimmage game and UNC has raised what, 0 dollars for charity. Mighty generous of UNC and its fans to take advantage of several thousand fans gathered together and to raise money for charity, any charity. No wait, that didn't happen. State has also raised about 1.4 million in its hoops for hope over the last 4 years. I'm sure UNC does raise some money for charity, but State also raises money for charity in other ways also. So, 2 athletic programs and around one and a half million for charity in the last 4 years, how much from UNC's 2 programs over the last 4 years?

You are a pathetic, little man.

RE: Generous State Fans Give one dollar each for Kay Yow Cancer Fund

First, fans from ALL sides want to complain about attendance at spring games, and now, some want to nit-pick about how much money was donated to a charity???

Can the posters here get any more childish? Are you people that immature? REALLY?

Here's a real troll post. GET A LIFE!!!

Really? Anything to take a jab at State fans right? Nothing's off limits with this clown. I suppose by your logic, the reason there's no cure yet is State fans lack of donations for research. Yeah...only 26,000 for a one day event...we should be ashamed.

You really should come back and post on this thread some more...I'm anxious to hear your response. BTW, you're getting loads of support from tarheel nation on this one.

all i can do is shake my head at this one....geez....

RE: Generous State Fans Give one dollar each for Kay Yow Cancer Fund

disturbing that they cannot be more honest in their crowd estimates. What are they afraid of? Why can’t they call it like it is? That they feel it is important enough to lie about speaks volumes about them, and says more about them than it does about the state of their football fan base. If they would lie about something as unimportant as this, what else would they lie about?

I can only think of one reason to lie about this. They must feel like it would hurt their recruiting to have a low turnout for their Spring game. I can’t think of any other reason. And that is the scary part. If they would lie about this for recruiting (assuming I am right in that assessment), then what else would they lie about in their recruiting?

It makes them appear to be willing to do anything to perpetuate the myth of the Carolina Way. The Carolina Way is apparently to lie and do whatever it takes to cover up anything bad. But we already knew that.

I got it. It's only unacceptable when it's about State, but this is acceptable? We're cheaters, liars, and you guys are the good guys. 26,000 divided by 25,000. Did you guys drop in your dollar? TBK, did you make change for a dollar? My post was over the line but yours wasn't?
