RE: Coach Avent and the Wolffie Way
You know Kato, your right. Coach Avent is just a horrible person. Just read the link/watch the video to see how horrible he is. person

RE: Coach Avent and the Wolffie Way
Horrible person? Kato never insinuated such.
Typical Red Rager response.
Horrible move for a D1 collegiate head coach?
No doubt, given the circumstances.

Stick, I believe you have met my friend Dead Horse.
RE: Coach Avent and the Wolffie Way
Nah Kato, as you stated Avent's actions were not minor, not routine, serious, and extremely embarrassing. I agree with you so much, I'm just going to disregard all other arguments and throw him under the bus as a horrible person. We should be extremely aggravated, ticked off and ask for his resignation! Clearly that is what you want us as Wolfpack fans to do. Otherwise this thread would be completely ridiculous. In no way was this a mistake where Avent possibly let his emotions get the better of him, and cause him to overreact!!!!!
RE: Coach Avent and the Wolffie Way
It is good to have healthy dialog about the seriousness of the aforementioned actions. Given the head baseball coach's influential position within the wolffie athletic program, TBK should launch an immediate investigation as to Avent's mental stability and past history. To react in such a way (rare NCAA D1 coach suspension for making physical contact with a game official), it is only prudent to check if there are indications of prior anger-management issues like excessive player b
utt-slappage, chewing tobacco sidewalk spitting, dog-kicking, etc.

Absolutely! And we should just get rid of baseball at NC State. Our program will never recover from Avent's actions.

...we should just get rid of baseball at NC State.
There were legit concerns that would happen after Tanner got fed up with the lack of program support. Yow is probably working the logistics of a 7th-innning stretch celebration honoring Avent and all will be forgotten.
RE: Coach Avent and the Wolffie Way
Has Yow scheduled the ticker-tape parade for Coach Hissy Fit yet?
Fire and Googs could be the honorary Parade Marshalls.
RE: Coach Avent and the Wolffie Way
What is your point with this post Kato? Yes, we had a coach act unwisely, we are not making excuses for that. (At least I'm not). He shouldn't have done it. However, ump confrontation by coaches and players is routine.(Turn on any baseball game tonight and I'll give it a 75% chance of happening). I realize that contact with the ump is not normal, but it's not like he slugged the ump or assaulted him. However, for you to troll us about this extremely minor incident (it is baseball by the way) is sad considering your own athletic department's academic woes. Is their something else you want me to admit/cover?

+ a bunch.....
the river of DENIAL is rather FULL of pastel pansies.
and
that makes me laugh to no end.
desperate times (being the EMBARRASSMENT of the ACC with a MAJOR sport being SLAPPED upside the head by the NCAA) calls for desperate threads.
me likey!!!
RE: Coach Avent and the Wolffie Way
Yawn...
7 pages on a thread created wrt UNC baseball coach's crowd comments versus this page created wrt NCSU baseball coach's ejection and SUSPENSION due to physical contact with a game official.
Obvious which is more desperate.
