Kids are kids...however, I am very disappointed in the decision...and if what I hear, the way he handled it was just another young man that was undecided up to the last minute...his father wanted Duke, I believe his mother was allowing him his own decision...what I don't understand is, if he called anyone at State, and said he was coming, was there any calls that he changed his mind...thats why I think this was a last minute change of his decision...I still think he would have been better off at State then Duke becuase of the type of offense we have would show case his skills since Duke is more of a guard play system, BUT, his decision, hope him the best except when playing State...as I read, this is helps Duke more then hurt's State, and gives us more props for future recruiting...GO PACK!!!!!

Wow! Im diehard wolfpack but some of you ppl are short on brain functions, days before he made the Duke decision he was the prom queen every1 wanted to screw, now im hearing he has all these flaws & has poor character& also nc state has aa far better program than duke, (wow) as bad as i want the pack to be the flagship program of the acc lets not bash a program (duke) that has owned our azz for the past 2 decades,

He's all about himself and not the team - we're lucky we didn't get him.
He wanted to come to State, but his dad made him go to Duke.
CJ Leslie was and is 5 times the player AJ will ever be.
All AJ will ever do at Duke is set screens and flop.
He told our coaches he was coming to STATE, somebody said so on Pack Pride, so his lying shows his character and I'm glad we didn't get him.
He's got way too many flaws in his game and will never develop at Duke.
He would have totally disrupted our team with his me-first attitude. Why would he go to Duke when State has the far better program? He's controlled by his Dad, and that would have caused BIG TIME problems. I never liked him. He has no heart. He's Shavlik Randolph part II. We're still a top 5 team without him.

Anything else?

You missed one thing. He will do more than set screens and flop.

He will get some rebounds.

I heard a theory that Amile decided on Duke a while back, but wasn't quite sure how to break it to the NC State coaches after they had invested so much time & effort into his recruitment.

Makes sense. He didn't want to break hearts, but eventually he had to.

More power to him. I wish him well except when he plays State.

This is Hans we're talking about here. Those were all comments he's seen from State fans. As usual, he's making fun of State fans.

I was aware that he wasn't making these statements personally, but I was saying in general before any other fans go in on Amile, just wish the kid luck.

I wish him well. I don't really care what happens with him going forward, though. He's not running with the Pack. I don't wish him good luck. I don't wish him ill will. I am indifferent to him now. I hope he goes scoreless against the Pack (but I wish the same for ALL of Duke's players in that game!) I hope he scores 100 when Duke plays Carolina, though.

And before you go hostle on me I read the article on pack pride that says he is High on NC State but that does not mean that he is interest to go to NC State. He has already got his list.

Every fan base has a percentage that reacts the way some State fans have reacted to this decision. If Barnes had decided on Dook - I am sure the Dook fans would have a totally different view of him. State fan (some) reaction is typical -

Actually, the fan reaction has not been bad at all considering how long Amile dragged this out and gave people reason to think he was an NC State lean. I'm almost surprised there wasn't a complete and utter meltdown.

I think we've all moved on from whatever hard feelings a few of us may have had.
