^^"free agency" didn't kill baseball... NO salary cap has killed it... it's increasingly hard for small market teams to compete, and thus has created a league of haves vs. have nots... of course there's always one or two exceptions to that rule, but overall, that's the biggest INjustice MLB has working against it.

I just remember growing up as a Braves fan I could name the entire lineup for several years with minimal changes in it........which was nice. Now just when you start to warm up to a player he changes uniforms the very next year it seems like. The salary cap has sucked too.....I agree!

Steroids ruined it for me, my cousin played made it to some industrial league, he was 6'2 225-35, big guy. They told him all he had to do was get bigger and he would move up...shortly after that the whole scandal broke, and it was lost to me. He ended up giving up on his dream, coached 1st base at UT, went to the college WS I think 2001, now runs a big coaching facility in Atlanta. Nice to still make a living doing what he loves.

Little long winded, but college baseball is starting to grow on me again, I can walk to ECU games which is pretty cool, fairly good team and of coarse plenty of drinking.

Thanks, Hokie94! Carolina lost this afternoon to Miami(5-3). NC State plays Wake at 7:00 and I'm hoping NC State will get the win. If State gets by Wake this evening the pressure gets put on Carolina going into that UNC-State on Saturday. I'm really hoping State can get to that championship game Sunday and win that title. Got my tickets for Saturday and Sunday. I've watched this team play several times this season and I really believe this group of players can
get the job done.
