A Modest Proposal, Wolfpack fans

As I survey the landscape in our little corner of the internet, I see that a full 93% of posts have been started by one kid--a kid with seemingly endless amounts of free time, boundless stoopidity, and poor impulse control. I humbly propose that, if we would like for him to stop acting like a child, we have to stop rewarding his cries for attention. We have to stop responding to his posts.

Did a swashbuckling State student steal his girl away from him? Did he lose out on a job to an NCSU alum? Did his dog run away to live with the Wolfpackers down the street? No telling. But what is certain is that he's bored and his dignity could use a paint job. He's also smart as a box of rocks and desperately in need of some little friends to play with.

Obviously it's the silly season and there's not much to talk about in the way of sports, but we can do better than responding to the the mental diarrhea currently on our board...

You realize that you are speaking to people like SAC and TBK, right? I.E., people devoid of all sense of logic and reason?

He's blind to those post. He just can't seem to get the red out of his eyes. Kind of like most the pack faithful with their blood-shot eyes on the morning after a football game.

Most of them look like that after halftime as well.

I guess then you have never been to UNC's Stadium during half time of a UNC football game. I have witnessed too many UNC fans wobbling up the steps dropping their little airline liquor bottles as the weave back and forth. Had my nephew not wanted me to attend the games while he was a UNC student, I would not have returned after the first experience.

In a word, yes! If we can confine your silliness to this thread, then the adults can talk about sports and other topics of interest in the big kid playground. If we can also cut down on the responses to the verbal ejaculation you seem helpless against spewing, eventually (we hope against hope) you'll find a ball of string to play with, or some other way to occupy your time until you go down for your nap.

To the others, yes, several wolfpackers are guilty of being "uniquely interested" in the goings-on down in Chapel Hill. Everybody knows that, and it's only a few Ragers that are blind to it. I'm not one of them. I live in f'ing Carrboro. I'm surrounded by Carolina faithful. You all are a decent group, but seriously, cluttering up our board with threads about Sendek or Conference USA is juvenile. Tommy posted something last week about raising the level of discourse and staying on topic and whatnot, and now we've got "how pathetic is it to share an arena?"
We can do better, and UNC fans can do better. I'm just proposing we set our sights higher...

Your second paragraph was very respectable. Clearly the threads I post are not directed towards you. I do know that I can make TBK disappear in a blink of an eye so everyone on here is welcome. I'm just trying to clean this place up with a little tough love. Now back to my threads....
