Dream on. State would kill to have a business school as good as ours is.

Heck, y'all pride yourself on your engineering school and even that isn't anywhere near tops in the ACC.

That's exactly what I'm saying. A general undergrad business degree is worth about as much as the paper it's printed on unless you go to a place like Harvard or U of Chicago. You learn a little bit about a lot of stuff. You aren't specialized in anything, which is what the market wants these days. The knowledge level of these graduates has caused me to chuckle a number of times. Not just UNC, but NCSU, ECU, Elon, and UNC-W as well. Don't have experience with any of the other NC schools.

Be less insecure, seems like NCSU is always one bad call away from a meltdown. "Everyone's after us" - yeah right, truth is no one really cares about NCSU unless they went there. Never seen a school like state spend more time bemoaning it's shortcomings than lauding its accomplishments. Some ABCer troll will try to reply in some way that isn't relevant -- but I won't read it, cause I don't care.

I also found it interesting that even though some media outlets rank Kenan-Flagler in the top 10, recruiters rank it somewhere around 40th. Just food for thought.

Thrill - unless you can show me job offers they signed (with the individual's names redacted), I'm going to keep saying you're full of it. Unless you graduate from a private school like Harvard where the kid's parents are old money, you're not going to make six figures with an UNDERGRADUATE GENERAL BUSINESS degree. Graduate I might be able to understand, although if you go out on the internet you will find lots of articles from the past 2 years or so questioning the worth of an MBA. That's another matter in and of itself.

Top 10 in undergrad business is about the same as top 10 in something like history. Great on paper, but it doesn't get you much in the real world. Truth is, nobody cares where you went to college after you've been out in the real world for about 3-5 years.

If your refering to the Bloomberg rating, I just read their methodology in creating the ranking. It's a case in point for why journalists shouldn't try to quantify things. What a joke.
