Sandusky verdict

RE: Sandusky verdict

As a christian I have trouble wishing death on someone, but with people like Sandusky I hope it's slow and painful. There is no positive contribution people like this can ever make society. Why should tax dollars feed and put a roof over his head?

RE: Sandusky verdict

Hope he gets what he deserves!! His wife knew about it, and Paterno should have down more about decades ago!!

RE: Sandusky verdict

I started this thread because the story is on the news side, and you can't comment on it until Monday.

I found it interesting that one of the 3 counts on which he was acquitted was the one involving assistant coach Mike McQueary. To my knowledge, that's the only incident Joe Paterno was made aware of. His lack of follow through led eventually to his ouster as head coach. Do you suppose a local jury took that into account when they voted not guilty on that charge?

I may be mistaken but I think I read that the charge involving the McQueary incident was deemed not guilty because the victim did not testify. 12 victims were involved in these charges but only 10 testified, McQueary's not being one of them. My details may be off but you get the point. Sorry for the faulty memory.

It is true that the victim did not testify. Jurors were quoted as saying that in the absence of such corroboration, they found McCreary's testimony to be confusing and not convincing. Paterno might have made the same argument in defending his lack of follow up - in fact I seem to remember him saying that McCreary was less than candid in what he told him. Curley and Schulz are likely to make the same argument in their own defense.

Wishing slow and painful death on anyone is inconsistent with most observers' understanding of the "christian" faith you claim adherence to.

If you don't believe me, Google it.

Who are YOU to judge? I know you libs think Sandusky can be rehabilitated but some of us live in the real world. He'll likely get what he deserves in "Bubba's house". lol

Doesn't get much more "christian" than that.LOL

"Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord."

(Again, Google it if you don't believe me.)

RE: Sandusky verdict

I have a great idea for the appropriate punishment but posting it here would result in a MO_DUKE v2.0 monicker if I did.

RE: Sandusky verdict

@Flagship, are you actually ignorant to the fact that the Bible does condone capital punishment for certain crimes?

Cojo is not just theologically challenged but factually challenged in general. Cojo still thinks carolina's woes were caused by ABCers.
