I'd love to see a recruiting battle between Roy and Gott.
Roy: "Well, you can come play for the best program in the ACC and one of the premiere, elite programs in the country. Additionally, we've produced the greatest player to ever play the game, Michael Jordan. I can promise you a good chance at a national championship. Not only that, but twice a year (at least) you'll get to participate in college basketball's best rivalry."
Gott: "You can come play for State. Our fans don't really expect too much, which is nice, and we have a cool little hand gesture that we stole from Texas. Uh, I guess that's about it."

I'm very happy for UNC. These guys will make any team better, and now they are also rich to boot. State didn't have any this year, but they will next year.

Remember that other ACC team that had 4 first round picks and failed to make the Final Four? I don't.

I remember one that had two first round picks and failed to beat Lehigh.
Me either. I don't think there has ever been but one team in ACC history, probably NCAA history that had 4 first round picks and didn't make the finl 4 and we know who that is. Slim pickin in the draft this year, so yeah I can see how UNC had 4 irst rounders, Miles Plumlee was a first round pick, that says it all. So you have 4 guys that are just a little bit better than Plumlee, Lol.

Is this thread for real? I guess when you have a few Parade All-Americans coming in every year, it's just natural that some make the NBA. If I follow the logic here, I think I could make a case for UNC fielding some of the most underachieving teams in the country. Don't pat yourselves on the backs too hard, you'll dislocate your shoulders.

Well, NC State had 2 players graduate. Neither were NBA caliber players. The two current players with NBA potential chose to wisely remain in school. Not sure how that's a knock on the State. I suppose for those desperate and petty enough to feel they need to respond to an equally stoopid thread, starting this one makes sense. C'mon Thrill, you know better than this.

Continuing Roy's recruiting pitch: "We also have some great academic programs for our athletes *wink wink*. But the NCAA doesn't know that we allow basketball players in those yet, so don't spoil it for the rest of the guys. We have top notch tutors who will write your papers for you. Heck the Chancellor will even go to bat for you in front of the courts without checking whether you plagiarized your paper. Just be warned though that I sometimes like to leave games early for a beer. No big deal really. We just claim that there was an agreement to end the game early. The administration usually backs us up."

Why is it that we constantly hear about how "obsessed" Wolfpack fans are, but then we have threads like this posted up on OUR boards?
