The position became even more of a concern with Fedora's next statement - expected starter Todd Harrelson has been permanently dismissed from the team for a "violation of team rules."

A senior from Chesapeake, Va., Harrelson was suspended indefinitely last season, and eventually quit the team with four games left with the intention of transferring. But he decided to rejoin the program when Fedora arrived, and had such a productive spring that he was slotted ahead of senior Jheranie Boyd, who has 12 career touchdown catches, on the preseason depth chart.

"He was making some good progress but he's not going to be with us now," Fedora said.
