Some people do not make sports the center of their universe.

Some people do not make sports the center of their universe.

Yesterday, NC State alumnus Dr. Hesham Kandil was named prime minister of Egypt. Kandil graduated in 1993 with a doctorate in biological and agricultural engineering and a minor in water resources.

I am guessing he doesn't wear denim overalls or ride a mule much to the chagrin of our UNC detractors. (Did you see how I slipped in tractors for their amusement?)

Now he has other people ride de tractors for him. :-)

Congrats to him (and to State).

You're right. He doesn't ride a mule...He's an upper class graduate. He rides a camel!

All kidding aside, glad to see some local schools doing major things world wide.

RE: Some people do not make sports the center of their universe.

former Pack hoops player, Panagiotis Fasoulas was the mayor of Piraeus, in Greece until Dec. of 2010.

State alums run sheet, WORLD WIDE!

RE: Some people do not make sports the center of their universe.

Former State alum Clyde "Pea Head" Austin is the mayor of his cellblock (serving 17.5 years for fraud and money laundering).

You are wrong to even mention this on here in this one. We can call out hundreds of names from any University from the past to the present. Michael Vick from VT. You didn't win any points from me. I hope you get the point kato.

This article is about honoring a NC State person. Furthermore. Some Sportsfan writers don't like to see it when people other than their school get's an honor for any reason. Go Duke. Go UNC. Go State. Go Wake. Hater's never win. Never.

RE: Some people do not make getting points from Hokie the center of their universe.

Hope you get the point Hokie (remove head from arsh, see modified headline).

Oh...and Go UNC...Go VaTech.

Everyone should be wishing the best to Prime Minister Kandil. His selection was a surprise to most people, including most Egyptians, but an encouraging surprise.

Peace.

.........and you forgot one. Go LEHIGH!!!!!

RE: Some people do not make sports the center of their universe.

^^^^ Thanks kato. I'll try harder next time. I'm a slow learner as a former grad of an institution of higher learning. Sorry I even mentioned this one. I will stay away. You win. Go UNC. My son's school could be a tough team to beat this year. Can they beat NC State this year?
