TOB got a Penn State transger

Safety Tim Buckley has transferred from Penn State to NC State. He will be eligible to play THIS season (he's a redshirt freshman).

He was an un-recruited walk-on according to Twitter, and from right here in Raleigh. Redshirted last year. Not very touted according to the recruiting sites (zero stars), but hey, TOB needs depth.

Craziest stat: This was Penn State's FIRST official transfer. Thought there was some last week?

You can't be that surprised that state would get a zero star walk on. The real football schools will get the good players.

He had pretty impressive numbers in HS. But then again, lots of kids have impressive stats in HS because of the level of competition they face.

Leave it to "boludo" to portray Penn State as the victim in all of this. Not to mention, lets go ahead and blindly project NCSU as the only team to go after a player at Penn State (never mind Illinois [who had 8 coaches on campus last week], Iowa, USC, Syracuse, UCF, FSU, ASU and countless other schools have recruited these same players over the past week).

What's wrong, those scholarship reductions got ya down?

Yes, because UNC is stuffed to the gills with 4-star recruits who brought you a--wait for it-- 3-5 record in the ACC, and the kind of nightmare bowl appearance that get's coaches run out of town. But I'm sure Coach Sombrero has all the really good PSU players knocking down his door...
