Brosius transfer

Brosius transfer

Hopefully Glennon stays healthy so Stocker doesn't have to burn his red shirt.

RE: Brosius transfer

Sorry for the ol' double click that made this thread post twice.

RE: Brosius transfer

Ouch! That's two QB's out of four that State has lost to baseball. I don't see Stocker red shirting this season. I think TOB needs to get him as much game experience as he can, as soon as he can. There's nobody else in the pipeline.

RE: Brosius transfer

^^^apparently TOB's known about it.... as I saw Manny take quite a few of the snaps in 11/11 and goal line drills for State....

he actually looks "physically ready"... which is nice.

Not sure I understand your logic in burning Stockers redshirt. Remember, we have Pete Thomas available next year and he has plenty of experience on the D1 level.

Perhaps they would not have that problem if they were allowed to play both sports.

that's right... I totally forgot about Thomas...

it's hardly any wonder Tyler decided to leave... he sees what he's up against.

and

this is the absolute FIRST I've heard of Brosius wanting to play baseball... to my knowledge, him even desiring to play baseball while at State was NEVER discussed.

RE: Brosius transfer

Baseball has been an issue in the past for NC State, although arrangements were made for athletes to participate in both sports in previous years. I seem to remember a basketball player who went on to play professional baseball after his career at State. And no, I am not going all the way back to Tim Stoddard. Baseball was also an issue with Russel Wilson I do believe.

My logic has nothing to do with next year. IMO State needs somebody who can play this year if Glennon goes down.

But speaking of next year, if Stocker gets no game experience this year State is in the same precarious position they are now.

I believe both Brosius and Brian Taylor used their redshirts. That didn't pay off for the Pack. Stocker's redshirt year is a luxury, and I don't think it's one TOB can afford right now.

RE: Brosius transfer

Out of curiosity, I checked out State's list of commitments (14 so far) for the current (2013) recruiting class. There are no QB's listed.

You speak of brackman....Brosius and Mustafa both have had academic problems. Brosius must have deferred to a less stringent program to play baseball.
