Early season upsets in the ACC and the SEC.
The Wolfpack is the only ACC team that will pull of an upset in the first half of the season. See the link.

RE: Early season upsets in the ACC and the SEC.
The beauty of sports, on any given day anything is possible, anything can happen, anyone can win.
At least, until any of the games are actually played. Congrats on winning the preseason again.

I hate seeing predictions like this. Hate it.

You must have posted the wrong link. The blog you linked to doesn't say that at all. Not that some unknown blogger's predictions should be given any credibility anyway.

No, but WITH's link does & you are correct it is just a prediction.

No, his link only lists 5 upsets, not the ONLY five upsets. State is the only ACC winner this blogger picked in this groups of 5 ACC and SEC upsets. Ken is correct.

Exactly right unc70 and Ken.
RE: Early season upsets in the ACC and the SEC.
4. FSU at NC State
The loss of Greg Reid in the preseason will cause problems in FSU's secondary and extra bonus points lost with Reid's returns on special teams. Reid's selfishness will cost his old team a loss. NC State quarterback Mike Glennon will make enough plays to take this one from FSU while the ground attack will grind out time of possession from the Seminoles. The biggest difference - mistakes in ACC conference games by EJ Manuel. BIG SURPRISE! Wolfpack by 10.
The above is copied then pasted from the article which was accessed from WITH's link.I'm not not nit-picking the # of upsets. It just list some early upsets this guy is predicting.Maybe, you guys are debating the OP's headline title. It's no big deal. I just hope it comes true !
RE: Early season upsets in the ACC and the SEC.
It's hard to define an upset. Sometimes, one team just seems to have another's number. How many times in the last 20 years has Virginia "upset" Carolina? Often enough that they shouldn't be considered "upsets" in my book. And while State hasn't exactly "owned" FSU, they nearly always play them better than the experts predict.
I'm sure the betting line for this game will show State getting the points, but no outcome will be a huge surprise. James Madison beating VT? App State beating Michigan in the Big House? Now those are upsets.
RE: Early season upsets in the ACC and the SEC.
I truly remember VT and JM. I didn't know how VT would respond after this loss, but they hung together. The upset in the Big House was out there.
