Tennessee
With kickoff a little over a week away, I figured I would see if anyone has any interest in talking actual football (probably not, but hey I'm trying). I don't know too much about Tennessee so I'm going to post what I know and hopefully others will have something to add as well.
OffenseQB - Bray is going to start for them despite his antics that have come up over the off season. I know he is extremely talented and is widely considered one of the top 5-10 QB's in college football this season. Other than that, I don't know much about him other than he was injured last season. I realize he played against UNC in the bowl game about a year and a half ago, so I didn't know if y'all remembered anything specific about him other than his terrible sportsmanship. Is he mobile? Is he as accurate as advertised?
RB - Don't know anything about the RB situation except their incoming freshman stud is out with an injury. Other than that, all I can tell is they aren't very effective on the ground as they placed even behind State in rushing stats last year. However, I know they're returning a good group on the OL so we'll see how that works out.
WR - This position group took an interesting twist this morning. The receiving corps is probably the second best in the nation behind USC. Both of their go-to receivers (Hunter and Rogers) are huge and easily capable of going in the first round. However, this morning Rogers was indefinitely suspended for violating team rules. Huge break for our secondary IMO as he was a first team preseason All-SEC pick at WR. Despite losing Rogers, they still have Hunter, who was second team preseason All-SEC, and some JUCO phenom that has yet to play a snap.
Anyways, I have no idea what kind of offense they run or what their tendencies are so it would be great to hear any info in that department.
RE: Tennessee
DefenseIn a grand scope of things I don't know what to expect from them. They just hired a new defensive coordinator from Alabama who has promptly switched them from a 4-3 to a 3-4. That's quite the change and I feel that a lot of teams (at least in the pros) have difficulty making the switch in their first year. That said..
DL - The DL in a 3-4 relies heavily on the nose guard to be able to disrupt the play and they definitely have that in Daniel McCullers. McCullers is a giant at 6-6 380 lbs. and will be difficult to handle up the middle. He's a JUCO product that apparently made it a regular occurrence to blow up centers and disrupt any run game between the tackles.
LB - I have nothing other than they seem to be pretty experienced and they're playing in a new formation. That said, they do have the ex-LB coach from Alabama so I think they're in pretty good hands.
DB - Again, not much info. I know they have some experience and they landed one of the most highly regarded cornerbacks in the Southeast this year. Should play out about even with the inexperience of our receiver corps.

Oh I'm sorry, I must have missed where I said I was posting an informative review of Tennessee. I thought I posted

Tennessee is not good, they are picked 5th in their division ahead of Vandy and Kentucky. However, it will be close to a home game for them as they have sold a lot of tickets. I think State's defense will win the game

Ditto...but me thinks State's defense will lose the game.

Last year they had trouble running the ball. With their best receiver out, they might have some problems running the ball. I see N.C. State winning this game. They'll just out score Tenn.
RE: Tennessee
Only 6 post. You can see that if it doesn't have something to do with UNC, State Fans aren't interested.

Come on Cv. You printed that exact same thing that we read on here. No need to do this. It's a'kin to those that copy and try to spin another article. Sorry.

- a few. RDI. State fans are out in force. I truly don't see too many articles involving fans from UNC on here either lately. unc70, and jgunn do very well on here. I would give anything if UNC could get it cleared up, and the Hokies win in Chapel Hill. Go Hokies. You read too much into some people on here that doesn't have much to do about anything.
