your bias is showing, again....Williams had 10.5 sacks, 11th among defensive ends(60+ starting de's in the league), 4 passes defensed, 2 forced fumbles& 2 recovered fumbles...not even close to "failed miserably", but your over-dramatization has been noted

Watching you squirm and continuously get pwnd is quite hilarious. You are just so pathetic and all you can come back with is some kind of "liar" or "cheater" rant when you get bested. Most of us abandoned those types of rants in the 4th grade when they did not work on the playground. Yunno the last kid that called a bunch of us "cheaters" was just after we went dodgeball apocalypse on his noodle. You seem to be having that type of meltdown. Alas, someone's mind seems to be still mired at said educational level. Just remember, the Dr. does not lie, and he is your "better" by ad infinitum.

No stranger to setting records on the basketball court, Michael Jordan is racking up another record which he, one thing for sure, won't be feeling happy about as it's been announced that he will be paying an estimated $168 million to estranged wife Juanita Vanoy Jordan now that their divorce is nearly finalized.

  • kato_karma.v5 May 6, 2013
    Sports Legend

LOL...no wonder why he went for the money (and not loyalty to Houston).

Buffalo Bills defensive end Mario Williams has gone on the offensive. He wants the 10-carat $785,000 diamond engagement ring he gave to Erin Marzouki, his former fiancee , back.

Williams met Marzouki in Houston when he played for the Houston Texans football team. They got engaged on Feb. 12, 2011, when he presented her with the stunning 10-carat rock, according to a lawsuit filed in Harris County Court in Houston.

But their engagement didn't even last a year. Marzouki broke up with Williams last January, and he now wants the 10-carat diamond back.

The lawsuit details just how much Williams spent on Marzouki during their relationship. Items included an American Express credit card she could use to pay her living expenses "she rang up $108,000 in charges in one year" on top of the $230,000 in other gifts he showered on her that same year, according to the court record.

The lawsuit does smack of bitterness. Williams claims Marzouki used him for his fame and fortune, according to court documents. Do the math: In one year he claimed he spent $1,123,000 on a fiancee who broke up with him just months after they'd become engaged.

On or about Jan. 21, 2013, defendant (Marzouki) unilaterally terminated the parties engagement. The termination of the relationship was caused solely by the defendant. Defendant never intended to marry plaintiff (Williams) and used the relationship as a means to get to plaintiff's money and acquire gifts.

Yeah, thats why they were pitching around A-Rod in the world series...NOT. You have been exposed on this one and the best thing you can do is admit that game planning and salaries don't have anything to do with each other. Bet many a D-coordinator had to plan for Adrian Petersen when he was under his first contract because HE WAS A BEAST. Wonder how many DCs are worrying about RW since he is the best bargain going considering bang for the buck. Bet many a O-coodinator had to take Kuechly in to account once he showed his stuff. In summary, you are about as wrong as a NASCAR team that puts 10 laps of fuel in for the final 20 laps of a race...which translates into you coming up...SHORT!!! Whaaaaaa!!!! Pwnd!!! Dang Chubs, I'm at starting QB of Smack Pro-Bowl level on this one, and you are the hapless DB I keep abusing for a 8 touchdown performance. Welcome to Smitty Island, MaroonedSAC!!!

Good point but as a fan, if I'm voting, I'm gonna check their overall numbers, team numbers/records, etc., & try to vote for the guy I think is most deserving.
This isn't just about Peppers...we see this every year. Agree with you re: his career/resume but it should be about this season, not the past. IMO

Wasn't disagreeing with you just pointing out what I think to be the reality of a HOF resume, deserving or not. Sounds like to me MAYBE Peppers is respected more by his peers since they are involved in the voting. Also numbers don't always tell the entire story. Leadership is a quality that is held in high regard also. Maybe there are more weapons on Chicago and Peppers doesn't have to do quite as much as Williams. Don't know!

Sack numbers are good but it should be based on overall performance. If you get 12 sacks & 30 tackles, is that really worthy of Pro Bowl consideration?

Just an fyi...Kuechly led the NFL in tackles & didn't make it.

Very true......yet with any HOF resume the # of pro bowls and all star games leads the bio! By the way, I think Peppers has had a fantastic career. Could care less what Williams does.

  • BattlingBishop 5 Jan 1, 2013

Peppers wasn't even listed in the top 20 in tackles among D-lineman in the NFC. If you don't earn it, it doesn't matter, & he definitely didn't earn it.

Fans also vote on MLB All-Stars & we all know how that goes.

Williams - Gennon Performance in Losses Award candidate this year

  • BattlingBishop 5 Jan 1, 2013

    Stat comparison...

Peppers - 39 tkls (NFL rank - tied for 59th), 11.5 sacks (tied for 6th)

Williams - 46 tkls (NFL rank - tied for 33rd), 10.5 sacks (tied for 12th)

HC's for the Bears & Bills were canned recently & neither team made the playoffs. Given the hype associated with each player, neither player is living up to expectations. Sack production is good but overall, nothing to brag about.

Nice gesture by Williams regarding the 09 truck & the Marines.

This is how stoopid your posts can get. You take a good deed and then taint it and make it about LT. What has LT got to do with Mario donating a pickup or you trying to laugh some of your backside off? So why didn't you bring up the past run ins with the law of say David Thompson, TA McClendon, or Corey Lyons? BTW, UNC has put quite a few other players in the NFL who do good deeds and don't run afoul with the law. Why don't you focus on Jeff Saturday, 6 time pro-bowl center? He was integral in your guy Mario having a job this year. Since you are not too bright, I decided to give you a link or two so you can catch up on a Tar Heel that makes a difference since you seem to not be able to get past a news headline about one UNC player who has fallen from grace...
