the point of me bringing this up is that we've never seen you say anything positive about state anything. oh well...it is what it is i guess.

back to topic....go pack, go gott. in my opinion, it's better to have all the hyped up coverage because ppl recognize that you are on the right track instead of being mired on the opposite end of the spectrum like wake (sorry deacons fans).

the players are all saying the right things (for the most part) about keeping up the hard work and staying humble...i'm confident that gott will straighten out any players that go astray from the pyramid of success.

No question about the title in this one. Coach Gott was a wise choice. He also inherited great talent too. Gott also hired one of the best head coaches around. Bobby Lutz is one of the best recruiters in the Country. If VT had given up some monies he possibly could have been up there.

Very true about Lutz, Hokie. I was kinda worried you guys were going to snag him - he's been a huge asset to us. I like what James Johnson has been saying about having VT concentrate on playing fast-paced basketball, it should be interesting to see. I still kind of feel like Seth Greenberg got a raw deal. I liked him, and he kept VT pretty relevant most years. You guys got screwed out of the NCAA tourney on more than a couple of occasions. Here's to a better year for VT.
