North Carolina State Wolfpack junior guard Lorenzo Brown will be headed to the 2013 NBA draft lottery.
Brown is poised for a big year with the Wolfpack in 2012-13, where hell prove hes one of the top point guards in the NCAA. Hes capable of doing a little bit of everything on the court and as a result will rise on the rankings of most scouts.
Hes quick and a great ball handler, allowing him to fly around the court with ease. He knows how to use his size and length as a defender to overwhelm opposing point guards, leading the ACC in steals a year ago with 1.8 per game. His length and quickness also allows him to run off the perimeter and pull down rebounds better than most guards.
Brown is considered unselfish with good court vision which gives him exceptional passing skills. Having no problem scoring around the basket or spotting up for a 20 foot jumper, Brown’s passing skills are his biggest strength. He thrived as the lead guard a year ago proving hes capable of making smart decisions whether its a drive and dish, quick pick and roll or up tempo decision in transition. He finished second in assists to Kendall Marshall in the ACC last year and with Marshall gone to the NBA, Brown is likely to finish first this year.
