Penn State is pretty weak this year. I fully expect another ~40 pt stomping like the last game, if the starters and first-string bench players get most of the PT. In the previous game, the team experimented a lot with different lineups (some were "worst case scenario" lineups that got fairly significant PT - good strategy in early games), and also put the backups in with ~3 minutes left. They still scored nearly 100 pts. NC State is the real deal.

Michigan will be the first real test, holding out on my unbridled enthusiasm until after that game. Regardless of what happens in these OOC games, the ACC is a different kind of bird. The best team doesnt always get the W and the worst team can beat any team on any given night. But with that said, I use to dread the games at UNC/Duke as I knew we would have to go in and pull off the "upset", every fkn year. This year some of the angst has been taken off and even if we drop a game to the boys in blue it wont be because we didnt have the talent or the coach. I hope this team meets at least the halfway mark on the expectations set before them this year (although Ill need help finding half of unlimited) and it will be nice (barring any injuries)to be the team everyone is trying to "upset". Go Pack!!

I was lucky once again. I'll take a win over BC on Saturday at BC. If the Hokies lose this one, we burn 20 years of going to a Bowl game. Logan Thomas has not done the job. Beamer and coaches still believe. 15 Int's tells this ol coach that this isn't right.

State played very poorly in stretches and a couple (Brown and Leslie) did not play up to potential. Considering the down game for some, this was a big win for the team. The fun has started.
