Meh, another non-story. That's college athletics for you. I'd be more concerned if academic non-qualifiers didn't have some issues adjusting to a rigorous college environment.

Obviously it's not a non-story, as both Martin and the forensic auditors interviewed her. No longer is it a story of rogues, but it's a story of institutional sanctioning.

Sure. Institutional sanctioning from any school that participates in D-1 college athletics. That's just the way the system works.

I can guarantee that not many read the entire article. I'll bet my next retirement check. Mary Wilingham has probably told more truth in this one article than the thousands over the past 2.5 years in regard to UNC. I would venture to guess that a few more programs at UNC are as fuzzy as any in all Universities in the USA. Think a little...Davis, Blake, Baddour, Wiley, players, and Thorp didn't tell the truth. Bill Friday wanted it. The truth.

I would venture to guess that Holden Thorp got an ear full too. His BOG's are not dumb enough to spill all of the beans on him in his retirement. It was a graceful way to cull him out.

Thorp could not lead a large high school. The NCAA didn't do the job either. UNC should have been on a three years bowl ban at the least. Butch with his millions to bow out. What a total sham.

Thank you Mary. Had I known how dismal the AA Studies was over the many years, I could have saved some monies, and told my son to take all that he could to get a degree. He did get it.
