Focus on your own school coming from a UNC fan on a State forum. The same UNC fan that creates 10 times more topics on the State forum than he does on the UNC forum. You know you really do make yourself look like an idjiot. But then again I don't think you could make yourself look like anything else, its just natural for some people. If the shoe fits, wear it, or maybe in this case I should say if the glass slipper fits.

If I would have known you were reading, I'd have broken it down into a "See Elsie the Cow Run" translation. Guess you'll have to suffer on that one or get the teachers assistant to translate for you.

On that hearing thing, maybe you need some new hearing aids, or change the batteries in the ones you have. That will be $100 for the Dr.s advice.

I get quite a few emails when I get "banded" that can't understand why. Sorry, but your Red Rage brethern are a bunch of whiners, and when getting IT handed to them like a spiral sliced ham at Thanksgiving, they go and get BIG BROTHER to help them out. I can almost give you the specific post that does it when it happens because I purposely cross the line and humiliate them into oblivion. It's OK, I look at it as the ultimate in surrender, that you can't beat someone on your own.

Oh, am I responsible for sending a few Red and Dookie Blue Ragers in to therapy, yes, yes I am. So I admitted it, but I'm not sensing any rehabilitation. Maybe it's because I have nothing to rehabilitate because I AM NOT A HATER!!! I love talking real sports, and busting troll chops when it suits my fancy. I only walk through the thrown open doors of oppotunity to deliver my Smack Basket of Humiliation, can I help it that Red Ragers are such a hospitible group when it comes to being there to take the punishment.

Since I'm a graduate of UNC, I'm paying tuition for a child at UNC, and I'm a North Carolina taxpayer, it technically is my school. So, why don't you just go create 25 threads in the forum of your choice?

You still fail at enuniating or even showing any possible understanding of "The Carolina Way" Scooberdude. But you are a good Crackpride mouthpiece. Whether I'm a Wal-Mart fan or not has nothing to do with you looking really bad here, nor whether fans who are alumni vs. fans who are not alumni understand said philosophy. Try reading up on "The Carolina Way" as Dean described it in his book, and get back to me.

To add a few more nails into your coffin of hate, maybe you can explain how the espousal and pursuit of community involvement, collegiality, excellence, collaboration, or responsibility is a farce? Tarnished yes, execution of The Carolina Way by a few individuals compromised, sure, tell us something we didn't know.

But to say The Carolina Way is a farce would be the same as saying any philosoply such as Platoism is a farce. You can't kill a philosophy/set of principles Scooberhate, only fall short of living up to it.

Interestingly, "The Carolina Way" is what they are calling the Eve Carson fund for the slain young lady from UNC. So maybe you can tell us in your hate filled soul how a fund for a slain young person can be a farce, when it is exactly the epitome of The Carolina Way. I'll hang up while you feel embarrassed for tangling with the Dr. on this one.

That was a brutal pwnding by the Dr.

How would a Wal-Mart fan know anything about the concept? Ask a grad. The "Carolina Way" originated with Smith's hiring by Aycock - you can't spin it any other way. But thanks for the You-tube link for fans similarly situated.

Really? I didn't see that. Why don't you go and recheck your link? I don't see one word about "The Carolina Way". You've stumbled badly here and worse yet, trying to pawn off an ineptly conceived surrogate definition. So how has UNC "failed" on both counts? Would that be the winning (uh...I think Smith and UNC pass that test) or the cleanliness of the program (uh...he was talking basketball, this NCAA mess involves football most recently).

You have failed miserably here and I was really hoping you would come with a much better effort. I've posted about "The Carolina Way" philosophy quite a few times. Your effort here reminds me of Adam Sandler trying to answer the academic question in "Billy Madison" and the moderator said... "...everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it", "and may God have mercy on your soul". For those with reading comprehension issues...

Kane has removed most of his so-called facts from the online version. I'm going to pull the different versions that have appeared other sites and on the N&O site using Google cache and the internet archives. If you happen to still have the paper containing the print version, would you please hold onto it so we can compare it with the others.

I think Kane in this article has placed himself and the N&O in legal jeopardy by making a series of libelous statements presented as facts of evidentiary quality accusing specific individuals at UNC of serious misconduct, possibly even of a criminal nature. Some of these "facts" contradict the facts as found in multiple documents and statements publicly available regarding the various investigations.

The "Carolina Way" is exactly what William B. Aycock said it was on the heels (no pun intended) of the McGuire scandal:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Brantley_Aycock
"When Aycock hired Smith, he told the 30-year-old coach that wins and losses did not count as much as running a clean program and representing the university well." So, UNC has failed his vision on both counts.

Hey thrill, that's not college athletics, that's unc athletics. There isn't any doubt in my mine that college athletics is corrupt, but NOT TO THE EXTENT OF WHAT GOES ON AT UNC. UNC is like an uncontrollable avalance when it comes to their athletic program. I've never seen anybody (except obama) or college program with such arrogance. They snub their nose at you and keep on cheating.
Like I told you before the basketball program was heavily involved in corruption like the football program. Ole huck is up to his eyeballs in this and there are also "rumors" other things are coming out about ole Huck. Also you are going to see other employees at unc coming out and back up what this lady said. You have the President of ESPN, the ACC Commissioner, politicians, judges, BOT'S, and BOG's that are doing everything possible to keep this under wraps. The problem is there are many unc employees that are honest and are going to get the truth out.
Now I see why you guys don't want an independent investigation. Worst college athletics and academic scandal in history.
For all you unc fans what is the koolaid flavor of the week? I need to know because their stock is up and I want to sell

    Hokie,

This time I have to disagree with you regarding Willingham's "truth", at least as it is presented in Kane's article. Not about the admission of athletes who could barely read. Some have specific issues like dyslexia or ADD, found at elevated rates among athletes.

I have posted my critique of Kane's article in one of the 20+ years threads. Since that post I noticed that Kane has changed the online version of the article to remove details that made it obvious that the Willingham incident was actually the one involving Wiley and that Willingham's only involvement was providing a second opinion regarding an already flagged issue. Once she had given her opinion to Mercer, Willingham would have likely been unaware of the status of any ongoing investigations or actions given her limited involvement.
