RE: TOB Out
I've always been a Pack fan but let's be realistic here. O'Brien beat UNC consistently but the level of talent went down every year and he lost way too many close games due to his conservative style. He's the type of coach that can win 7 games every year but never an ACC championship.
The only reason I'm not happy about this decision is because it will be difficult to get a better coach to come to Raleigh.

His name is Bobby Petrino, and he's about to own the NC recruiting trail!

As well as several Co-Eds...
I do like your absolutely unrealistic optimism, it's so in keeping with your "fantasy" mindset. You've lost out on many top recruits, and now they will put NCSU on the "hold" list till a coach is hired. Next year, huge rebuilding year so it's not going to be pretty. Better move quick.

I could have sworn these forums were for people who actually went to an ACC school...or a college in general. GTFO
RE: TOB Out
Link????...your post. ewenc IS STILL under investigation by both. Public info. You said..."don't know".
Lying & denying is bad for self esteem.

I don't know if they're still in Chapel Hill, or back home preparing their reports. Neither do you.

I'm sure they are home. It's Sunday on Thanksgiving weekend.
However, it's NOT over & they are not "Out" of chapped hole.

Nobody said it was over. It will be over when they issue their reports and the NCAA decides whether to levy any more sanctions.
Still waiting for their link to denial.

I think it's a river in Egypt, and a problem for ewenc fans.(most)

Well, you finally got something right.
RE: TOB Out
Ha! Not unless you desire to be on probation with us...All kidding aside I really think that the Vanderbilt coach has done an amazing job. I am sure most people here already know about his relationship with Yow and all that stuff. I hope that you guys can find a good one. This stuff is always hard leaving some percentage unhappy.

The reports are James Franklin is not a candidate.

The reports are always bs until it is formally announced. If I was him and I was not interested I would say so in public. He hasn't. But it is reasonable that he would stay at Vanderbilt or maybe go somewhere else. Vandy is paying him well and the situation at State is going to be a little tough going in the beginning for whoever takes over.

I posted this thread prior to WRAL or the N&O reporting it, but go ahead and doubt it. It was posted on Vanderbilt's site and again after the firing by several sources that he was not interested or a candidate. Also, DY herself stated he is not a candidate herself- per the Wolfpacker.

I am not calling you out or anything...just saying everything is a pack of lies at this time of the year. A coach taking a team yo a bowl is going to say he is not interested where people will quietly report it.
When he says it in a press conference of some kind where he must state his refusal without mincing words I will believe it.

If he comes I will be surprised. Too many reporters and the AD herself stating otherwise. She gave TOB this year to prove himself. After the UVA game TOB's postgame was not the same nor her postgame. I believe it was then, she made the decision. I have read that NCSU rep's called Mike Leach, but he has denied it. I may be wrong, but given that today she also stated that there are several coordinator's that have not had the chance to prove themselves. The announcers of the Clemson game were lobbying Chad Morris. His name has been tossed out there by Packpride. I doubt we will ever know the targets. An interesting note is that Mark Gottfried has done a solid job on the recruiting trail and was not her first choice. So we will see about the head football coach hire. Also, Arkansas, Tennessee, Auburn, Kentucky and several others are looking for new HC's. So this may be a long process.
