Emergency BOT Meeting

NCSU Board of Trustees meeting has been scheduled for Wednesday, the 28th, to discuss compensation. I have no inside knowledge, but it does momentarily give credibility to the rumor that Yow already has her coach. It's interesting, nonetheless.

It could also just be the BOT meeting to approve what range Debbie can throw at prospective coaches.

You must have learned that military lingo in a naval course that replaced the american afro studies classes at unc. Was it a harder course or was it one of those that you didn't have to go to class?

Rumor has it State is ready to put up some major $$$. I hope it is spent wisely, and would rather see a hungry up-and-comer than a deteriorating "big name" coach. I trust Debbie Yow's judgment - she has a personality that is polarizing, but her track record at UMD, so far at NCSU, has proven her to be one of the premier ADs in the country.

Listened to 99.9 the fan while driving and idk if this was alum or what but he was pretty upset that Yow was throwing away $1.2 million to buyout TOB and they're raising tuition. I don't know what big money is like in the ACC but it's like a business, sometimes you have to shell out lots of $$$$ into your investment to get ahuge return later.

They are meeting to try and figure out where the H they are going to get the money to feed DY ego. She's like my ex wife with a credit card.

the money used for the buyout will come from existing wolfpack club funds and other donor sources of revenue. raising tuition has nothing to do with buying out TOB.

For those in the know, does this mean a decision has been made and the announcement will be soon? I hope so. I liked TOB and his high standards, but I do agree we need someone else to lead to better performance. After the new coach, the next thing that State needs is about 15 to 20k more seats. I went to the first game at Carter in 66. The word on the street was that it would never be filled up and that the 50 year loan would never be paid off. Holtz filled it and it was paid off in approximately 20 years. Add the seats and the rest will follow. And after that, build a large parking deck between CF and PNC with overhead entrances. I wonder if DY needs an assistant?
