The worst is having a bad showing at a bowl, getting curb stomped, and then having players tweet bad things. :-(

Apparently you're not much for critical thinking skills when it involves a negative article about State (surprise, surprise). I posted some comments from the article below. BTW if you use the link provided, it actually has Oklahoma as one of the worst TV draw over 8 years.

"This is pretty idiotic and incredibly flawed. You did not take into account draw of the opponent, day & time of game, competing broadcasts, network channel or cable channel, previous years' participants.

You cited Notre Dame's appearance in the 2008 Hawaii Bowl. Of course it'll be more. They usually have WAC vs. C-USA. In 2007, it was Boise vs, ECU. Who is going to watch that?

How did you get a job at the WSJ? Is daddy on the board?"

"This is a ridiculous article. Looking at audience size versus expected audience size is about as subjective as you can get. Without comparing records, special circumstances (like Heisman winner in the game, coaching record being set, etc.) or national ranking of the team(s) this is an apples to oranges exercise."

"Yeah, gotta agree with the other commenters - sloppy statistics here. When I looked at the same basic thing last January
    http://thenationalchampionshiue.blogspot.com/2010/01/bowls-television-ratings-three-ways.html
using actual rating shares, I came to some similar conclusions (good top 5 with the addition of Texas & Ohio St), but also some different ones (Oklahoma is by far the worst TV draw over the last 8 years)."

So what's worse? Having a bad showing at a bowl, or having a good showing, getting curb stomped by a mediocre team, and then having players tweet bad things about their school afterwards?

You figured out we were not in the top 5 or the bottom 5, did you? Good job! Shame on everybody for saying you're hopelessly stupid.
