the mighty Wolfpack is the best team in the ACC again? While they're getting blown out by unranked teams and barely squeaking by UNC-Asheville, Duke is making mincemeat out of the top 5.

thank the media for hyping them up before they even taped up their ankles for preseason practice. that's why polls that come out weeks before the season starts are rubbishness.

but of course, you're just looking for any reason to belittle your beloved "mighty wolfpack." why don't you start a thread about the golf team being overrated, i don't think you've trashed them yet.

I agree, Hans. But, it was the sports writers from around the ACC, not N.C. State, who voted the Pack pre-season favorites.

Why does everyone seem to think only State had anything to do with the pre-season hype?

True, but State hasn't done that for 40 full minutes yet. They will still be a very formidable opponent come March, but Gottfried better get those chemistry problems solves ASAP.

luckily, conference play is still a LONG WAY off.

they looked exponentially better tues nite, than they did against OKstate or Asheville... apprently the gassers he had them running this past weekend got the message across.

still a LOT of work to do, but it's rather refreshing to know that they've got the most talented team in the league for the first time in 20+ years.

talent excuses a LOT of other shortcomings.

Man, I am behind. Had no idea the season ended. Pardon me while it get caught up on the final standings.
Just ask your boy jacobsummers eve. He starts 1,000's of threads on State so he clearly knows a lot.

BTW... It's 2012, nobody says "mincemeat" anymore.
