Meantime, not much if any wolffie traction in gaining competitive differentiation with anyone (including UNC).

    Good luck with that.

There's competition for coaches every year. Bubba found a winner last time .. he'll find a winner next time. And, the extra years were due to probation and recruiting restrictions, so we can reduce it by at least one next time, if Bubba so desires.

You can pretend it is whatever reason you want it to be. We aren't afraid of Fedora's coaching. Speaking for most of us, we just know it throws Carolina's program further into disarray if they have to replace him. If you thought it was hard to get Fedora last time (Carolina had to give him a 7-year deal!), just wait until you have to replace him THIS time. There's a lot of competition for new coaches, and not many to fill the spots.

    Good luck with that!

Not to be confused with the bitter smell of discontent!!! The hat is overtly NOT happy where he currently resides....

Yes, he has ties to OK St.

Speaking of breathing easier ... the smell of fear coming from the wuffies, and the overwhelming desire for Fedora to be gone, couldn't be stronger.

Dave Doeren signed memorandum of understanding with N.C. State, so if Wisc pursued former Badgers DC, would have to pay millions to get him.

may have come from somewhere but I am still laughing at the "Dorean has droven his bus to Wisconsin" comment from Heelman73. Would this be the headline in the daily tar heel? The first line of story would be " After Dorean arrove in Raleigh......."

  • mrwufabc Dec 5, 2012

I'm honestly exhausted with pulling for my alma mater, NC State's, athletics. Doeren is a great coach and could be exactly what we need. I've followed NC State athletics long enough to believe we will do everything possible to rescue defeat from the grasp of success. If this goes down like it has been rumored, I'm done. My patience with our athletics is on very thin ice. I'm so fatigued. That written, I do hate unc-CHeat more than I love NC State and I am very energized with seeing they get their comeuppance.

No way under the sun that Doeren is leaving. Larry Fedora isn't going anywhere either. If Fedora even talked to Tenn., it would surprise me. If he did...he's in trouble with the powers at UNC all around. Strong is leading the charge in this job. I think it's all rumors.

Strange things have happened in the past. Remember Bobby Cremins accepting the South Carolina job in '93...only to change his mind and go back to GTech?

With the money being thrown around these days (bonus, guaranteed, sponsorships, tv show, etc.), wouldn't be shocked to see Hat go to Tenn -- disappointed, but not shocked.

You assume a lot but then again, that's your weakness! It SEEMS Fedora wanted to interview for the UT job. Message board chatter! Maybe he did but we will NEVER know. Plus, its not a slap in the face for a coach to interview for a SEC job. I can assure you that ANY football coach at SCC would do the same thing if given the opportunity! Guaranteed!

Also, your new coach has only been in Raleigh for a few days and already you trust him and approve of his character? Lol! Talk about fanatical! He is coaching your team so now he walks on water in your eyes! Truly sad!

Some rumors have legs, some do not.

Fedora rumor has legs (but could still end up not happening -- it seems they want Strong from Louisville...)

DD rumor has NO legs, whatsoever, except from the wishful thinking and DELUSIONAL folks over at IC. LOL

See my previous post about those in their right mind... two words: PRESS CONFERENCE.

  • TruthBKnown Banned Again01 Dec 4, 2012

Who in their right mind thinks we would have had a press conference announcing DD as the new coach... if he had not already signed on the dotted line?

Additionally, I believe he is the kind of person who could shake hands and you could count on that as a man giving his word.

    He's not going anywhere.

    Close this thread now.

Now Fedora on the other hand... it seems HE is the one that wanted to interview for the UT job. Doesn't bode well for Carolina. At. All.
