Does this make everyone feel better about the ACC

Does this make everyone feel better about the ACC

"We, the undersigned presidents of the Atlantic Coast Conference, wish to express our commitment to preserve and protect the future of our outstanding league. We want to be clear that the speculation about ACC schools in negotiations or considering alternatives to the ACC are totally false. The presidents of the ACC are united in our commitment to a strong and enduring conference. The ACC has long been a leader in intercollegiate athletics, both academically and athletically, and the constitution of our existing and future member schools will maintain the ACC's position as one of the nation's premier conferences."

RE: Does this make everyone feel better about the ACC

I'm thinking this is the equivalent of a coach saying he is content where he is. But then gets an offer the next day and leaves. It wasn't a lie because he meant it when he said it, but it can change tomorrow.

If the B1G comes calling tomorrow, will some of these schools jump?

Not sure this makes me feel any better about the ACC's chances of survival. Just a little, but I'm afraid this is a meaningless declaration.

Short answer...no.
Nobody is cheating on their spouse until they get caught. In the meantime they would sign anything. This is like a guarantee that you will not cheat BEFORE you see the naked supermodel.

Actually, it is not even a guarantee. It's like saying on Wednesday that you are absolutely NOT cheating. Then you meet the naked supermodel on Thursday...

You assume the naked model would let you. :-)

RE: Does this make everyone feel better about the ACC

ACC Commissioner John Swofford and his beloved UNC-CHEAT is the ACC's Trojan Horse. Member schools need to wake up and identify UNC-CHEAT for what it really is: a cancer within the member system.

RE: Does this make everyone feel better about the ACC

has anyone got a picture of her?

I think it was more of a message to the Turtles that the rest of the ACC expects them to pay up in full as they leave and not to let the door hit them where the "moon don't shine."
