Happy New Year and Lets be realistic

I usually dont comment on the forums unless I have a urge so here goes. Most people on here have no idea what they are talking about when they make comments about the athletes that are at their respected schools. To make degrading remarks about a person that you dont even know makes no sense to me. So hopefully this year people will grow up and remember IT IS JUST A GAME!

Now for some fun. UNC will be ranked higher than NCSTATE by the ncaa tourney but lower than Duke. Duke is looking great UNC is young but will mesh fine by march. State should be undefeated right now but has no leadership on the floor by the upper classmen. Football next year UNC will be the higher ranked team period. Too much talent coming back for state or duke to keep up with since both were dominate with upper classmen at pivitol positions

I agree. It doesn't make much sense to me to hate on the players. I can understand the dislike for the teams and the fans, especially the fans, but why does it give some people satisfaction to see young men and women fail?

I guess you haven't been watching Leslie and Brown lately. Leslie will take over a game in just minutes both offensively and defensively. Brown is finally playing as he did at the end of last season. For some one to talk about no clue, you sure have no clue.

I base this one on attitudes of people. When it comes to not liking certain coaches and players, it's easy to dislike people.

Steve Spurrier comes across like he's the smartest coach on the planet. Lane Kiffin is just like him, and he leaves some interviews in the middle of a question when it doesn't suit him. Terrell Owens was the biggest blow-hards in his interviews, and his actions were the worst that I've ever seen. Talented player; but poison too. He won games, but hurt the locker room. CJ Leslie is a talented player, but his attitude shows when things aren't working for him. He was terrible under Sid Lowe, and he showed it again in an early season loss when he fouled out, and didn't even get up from the bench to cheer for his fellow players. He has improved lately. Tiger Woods is another story.

Well by believe I do believe tt basketball is a team game not a individual game. That is where state falls short Leslie has been and always will be all about himself and that is what is going to down state.

I agree. It doesn't make much sense to me to hate on the players. I can understand the dislike for the teams and the fans, especially the fans, but why does it give some people satisfaction to see young men and women fail?

903 needs to leave the boards! Like most of the clueless Duke fans who don't understand tradition they attack players and other fanbases constantly! Its a shame what has happened to the Duke fanbase with clowns like these. I know that they are only bandwagon fans and REAL Duke fans would not even associate with them but its disturbing!

Leslie is just about Leslie? Interesting assessment. He passes great under the basket to a more open player in most circumstances, the starting 5 and the 6th man are all within just a few points of each other in their averages, and it has been this way for the last two years. Yes, there are speed bumps here and there, but I've seen MUCH MUCH worse! Whatever...
