just occurred in the Michigan-South Carolina Outback bowl game. After the referee GAVE Michigan a first down (when the chain clearly showed the ball was short an inch or two), No. 7 for South Carolina knocked the helmet off the Michigan RB AND the ball loose, recovering for USC.
Look for it on Sportscenter later. It WILL be there.

I didn't see that one yet. But I would contend that State laid the hit of the year on a Vandy player. It was the one that was called a personal foul for smacking down a "defenseless player", which was NOT the case. Still makes me mad they penalized one of the best football hits you'll ever see. Our guy even lowered his head, like he didn't want to hit the Vandy player's helmet. But he hit the bottom of his helmet anyway. Definitely wasn't malicious. Just a crushing block.
