I think you just proved my point. In the years where Rivers had an O-line and talent around him, he performed great (go ahead, look it up). I will agree that Romo and Rivers are similar, they both have talent and no O-line. It's hard to complete passes when you're constantly scrambling, getting hit or on your back. I also wouldn't use last years Broncos as an example of anything other than a good defense.

Who's fault was it when Rivers had all that talent? Gate's when he was young, LT, Jackson, etc. I remember when there defense was tops in the league. Rivers has had a lot of turnovers the last few years. Not to mention the chargers play in a very weak AFC west. Bronco you have to agree that ROMO/RIVERS are similar? Alot of talent around them, and nothing to show for it but STATS! I'm not saying its all Rivers fault, but over forty turnovers by your QB dont help things.Speaking of talent, you dont need much to win the AFC west. I think you guys were 8-8, and won your conference last year.

This thread reeks of dumb. Do you watch NFL football? I can see some blame falling on Turner. He's the head coach, after all. But blaming Rivers? That's just dumb. You don't have to look much farther than the San Diego offensive line to figure out what's wrong with that team. They made up for being bad at run blocking by being atrocious at pass blocking. It didn't help that their laughing stock of a GM let their best receiver leave via FA either. Gates is old and slow, Meachem and Floyd are never able to get separation (even against mediocre cornerbacks), Royal can't run routes (believe me, I'm a Broncos fan), Brown broke his leg before the season started, and Alexander only emerged at the end of the season. Rivers didn't look good this season, but it's not because he lacks talent.

You got that right Pride. Just think that Rivers is overrated, and TOB made a mistake with the handling of Russell Wilson.

LOL....it's all good, toddler. Just messin' with ya on your favs. With that, the Steelers have had a very impressive SB run with 6 rings.

Ship I was talking about the playoffs. What more important? Pulling for the Irish, and was pulling for UGA. Peyton dominates! Yeah in the regular season! LOL! Yanks, Lakers, Steelers. Since I was a kid these are the only teams I will ever pull for. When State is winning? Heck they havent won anything since 83. Thats called sticking with your team. I like UK because Duke, and UNC fans hate them. Plus always been a Tuby Smith fan. Ship you pull for STATS. I have a friend just like you. How can I be a Ravens fan and they are the Steelers main rival? Again sticking with my team. The Lakers, Steelers, and Yankees with through years without winning, and I stayed with them. If the Broncos dont win it you and the rest of the world will say, It wasnt Peyton's fault! The Saints said thanks!! LOL! You are still my boy ship!! LOL!

"Head to Head Ben versus Peyton Ben one, Peyton zero." the toddler

Week 1, Broncos vs steelers, is a contradiction.

    Peyton's team 31
    ben's team 19

"Ship you have the perfect name because you will jump ship from team to team."

    Said the guy whose favorite teams are as follows;

    MLB - NY Yankees
    NBA - LA Lakers
    NFL - Steelers
    College football - SEC
College hoops - Kentucky, is it? I know...it's State when they're winning.
Bet you were an avid Ravens fan the year they won their only SB.

Just an fyi....I follow certain players for different reasons. If that causes you grief; don't care."Peyton did alot not to get his team there in the playoffs." toadler

Hilarious! I know what your deal is, big guy. Deny the obvious...that's part of your agenda. Truth is, you can't stand it because Peyton DOMINATES! If 'Bama wins, you gonna be a Tide fan?

Ship I know defense wins Super Bowls, and Ben had a couple of bad games in the Bowl. Aganist the Seahawks I think it was his second yearin the league. Rivers has had players around him. How many Bowls has he been in? I think the Steelers knocked them out a couple of times. But one thing is for sure he never threw one away ( Peyton). Ben did alot to get us there in the playoffs. Peyton did alot not to get his team there in the playoffs. Head to Head Ben versus Peyton Ben one, Peyton zero. As for Phillip Romo Rivers keep not being a winner. Ship you have the perfect name because you will jump ship from team to team. I would hate for someone to do something bad at Duke you may jump there ship also. LIKE I SAID I DIDNT WANT BEN BACK, BUT IM NOT GOING TO STOP PULLING FOR THE STEELERS BECAUSE OF ONE PLAYER.

Uh...all the teams in the NFL that are contenders have good to excellent QBs. All the teams without a good QB lose and even some that have potential like Cam. The fact you don't realize the NFL is a QB driven league is par for the course with you, and the course I'm talking about has you teeing it up singing the blues, and runs through a cesspool of idiocy ending with a troll one in a hole.

The Lake Tahoe Terror has managed to toss 3 TDs versus 5 picks in his 3 SB appearances (2005, 2008 & 2010). In 2005, The Terror was so bad against the Seahawks that his QB rating was 22.6, the lowest ever for a winning QB in a SB. I felt bad for the 'Hawks in that one. By the start of the 4th quarter, the poor l'il 'Hawks were bracing for impact after every play.

In 2010, after tossing a couple of picks in a SB loss to the Packers, said the biggest of Bens,

"I feel like I let the city of Pittsburgh down, the fans, my coaches and my teammates," Roethlisberger said, "and it's not a good feeling."[91

Thanks larrys080 Truth just think that Rivers is so great, and hates to hear the truth. I'm a Pack fan but I have always thought he was overrated just like Romo. Oh yeah Doherty Im not supporting a rapist just a lifelong Steelers fan. After being accussed the second time i didnt want him back. What am I suppose to do stop like the Steelers because of it? Anyway I didnt know he was convicted of rape.

What part of what he said wasn't true? There's no doubt Rivers has always put up great numbers but he has a horrible attitude and he certainly has never won at a high level. He has had the talent around him many years to succeed! He is definitely in the Romo class!

I say Jerry tells Jason that Turner will be the OC and he better start being a coach on the sidelines and not a play caller. Norv is one of the best, just not HC material. I think it's the only way they ever get some serious mileage out of Romo. Tim Hasselbeck nailed it down on Cowherd the other day.

My boy Big Ben stats this year 28-8. Most would think that was a great year, but those picks came at critical times of the game. The point im making with rivers.

  • Toddler10-21 Jan 2, 2013

Turner has two rings with the Cowgirls. Should just stay a OC. Rivers is also overrated. All those STAT's were years ago. What has Phillip the great done the last 3 years. One year he led the league in picks with what, 27? I remember he threw a pick in the AFC championship game that sealed it for my Steelers ( Polamalu). Thanks! Ship read my first sentence from the last post again.

    Turner is overrated....

    'Skins 49-59

    Oak 9-23

    SD 55-40

    Total 113-122

Played for 1 Conf. title in 15 years - SD 2007

Rivers almost had a 2 to 1 TD/INT ratio...needs to stop fumbling. Rivers still has 189 TDs versus 93 picks (slightly better than 2 to 1) & a career Rating of 94.5.

  • Toddler10-21 Jan 2, 2013

Guess its all Turner's fault that Rivers has over 40 turnovers in the last year and a half? Wel Turner has won super bowls as a OC. As for Rivers, same class as Romo. Not a winner in the NFL, and sure wasnt a winner at State( 4th place was the best he could do). Please dont start talking about those toilet bowls he won. Gator Bowl was the best, but still finished 4th in the conference.
