January 12th predictions: Dook

I think State will win on their home court and give Dook their first loss of the season.

Dook has struggled in the first half of their past two cupcake games and has not played a road game yet this season.

State should match up well, and I could actually see State winning by 8-10 if they get hot.

State 84 Dook 77.

Will be a good day either way, but I think that until State actually does something, they are the same ol State. Dook has been there, this is just another big game in a line of big games. State thinks that beating teams they should beat is an accomplishment. This is State's super bowl - if they are going to be considered anything else than the laughing stock they usually are, they MUST win this game. Moo U will be outplayed and outcoached.

Me thinks it's hole fans that think State's wins against lesser competition (albeit FAR GREATER competition than the holes have played according to SOS) are an accomplishment.

Hard to judge State from wins over Eastern Podunk Community College type teams. I'll wait until I see them play a couple of ACC games before I make any predictions. My gut tells me we'll see Same 'Ol State, though.

I give this one to State. That would probably the best outcome all around for State, Duke, and the league. The reasons should be obvious.

I'll take the pack in this one. I felt like they were the better team last year before the melt down. I see them winning this game by 10-15 points.

Duke has a below 500% in the PNC that said I think we get the win but it will be a good one
