State kollege getting "Lucky" with foul calls

true...the perceived suckiness is greater when your team is getting some of it, even if the opponent is getting the same treatment. i watch bits and pieces of other acc games here and there and noticed that the refs do indeed spread their garbage among everyone.

They suck more when they are calling fouls against your team.

i think the acc refs just suck in general, no matter what color jerseys are playing.

Really the point is that the refs aren't working for swofford, and they aren't cheating for anybody. For years, that's allwe heard from State fans. I'm just returning all the comments about how the refs are calling more fouls for Carolina because they cheat for Carolina. It doesn't matter how many front end of one-and-ones were made or missed or how many fouls were made in the first part of the game. State is getting to the foul line more than any other team, but still the complaint by the ragers that the refs are somehow cheating against State. No complaints about the push offs by Howell, and the elbows by Leslie. There is no conspiracy against state kollege. Right now u are enjoying the benifits of an inside game, as buckets point out.

Just curious, do you know how many of GTs free throws were the front end of a one-and-one that they missed? And, no, I don't know. We had a lot of FTs that were called against GT WHILE our player was in the act of shooting. And, as someone else pointed out, GT was fouling more often late in the game. Stats like this aren't fair to judge strictly on their own. One needs to see the whole picture to get the correct perspective.

OK, you guys were right. ;)
But seriously, my problem with the foul calling is that they let too much go when Carolina is dishing out the heavy contact, but really calling the fouls on the other end.

i don't watch many unc games other the the 2 or 3 a year that they play state so i don't really know what their offensive tendencies are. as such, i can't really make a knowledgeable comment on how officials perform in their games other than when they play state.
i will say this though...with zeller and henson in the lineup, i can understand if they shot more FTs than the opposition.

Their memories are too short to rememember and their brains too filled with redrage.

Whaaaaaaaat?! I agree with you, but we've used this reasoning with State fans in the past when they claim about Carolina's FT potential and have always been met with "CONSPIRACY!!11!11```" talk.

Yep! It's not the school that is hated it's the fans!!! Bunch of blowhards that will latch on to anything bigger and better than themselves.
