State kollege getting "Lucky" with foul calls

It seems that the officals are starting to see things the state kollege way. State is leading the ACC in number of free throws shot. State kollege has shot 381 freethrows. Duke has shot 349 and Carolina only 269. Last night was a typical example. GT 12 of 16. state kollege 20 of 29.

Two points:

UNC has always had this advantage in previous years and I didn't see you complain about their ratios.

A lot of fouls by the losing team are intentional at the end of close games. NC State has been the benefactor of those excessive intentional fouls because their games have been so close the last few minutes. Even the GT coach was shaking his head last night when his team continued to foul while down 17 points in the last few seconds.

This was just the opposite in the BC game. BC went to the line far more than NC State. State started to catch up near the end due to only being up a few with the large amounts of fouling at the end of the game. But yes last night State went to the line a bit more early.

You would think with all that practice, we'd be better at shooting foul shots.

Your statement is miss leading. Unc is setting records in turnovers with out any help from the opposing team. It is clear to all who watched the ACC officials the calls made against state were wrong. also both state and duke are playing a lot better than unCheat. Go back to huffing gasoline little one.

Clougherty also said that his officials study teams' and players' tendencies, so they know what to look for when it comes to fouls.

Btw, State had several bad calls AGAINST them last night. I think you meant to post that State was lucky to win with all those bad calls going against them.

But here's the best part. Ain't nothin' lucky about it. It's called SKILL, baby!

Oh, I got it. When the calls are going for Carolina, they're cheating, but when they go for state, the refs are learning their tendencies.
