I've realized that when Hans attributes something to the "lunatic fringe", it's either something HE said in the past, or he's making it up. If he gets specific enough, I'll go back and find proof that he either lied about it, or is telling the truth, when I have time. Make no mistake about it; he is NOT a State fan.

Can't remember. Probably one of the usual suspects. This was way back when either when it was announced he was walking on or during the ESPN name contest.

My bet is on this waking Staats up and him becoming a better and stronger person/player out of this. At least there is no one blaming it on STRESS and the coach is not saying "well he acted better then that in practice". Straight clear talk from the coach, he screwed up, if he dose it again he is gone! Good think about Tobacco Rd we all get to watch it unfold between now and March 14th before our eye's.

Hans, who said that he was going to be any sort of key to our season? I do think he will take advantage of his second chance and hopefully we can see him out there more in the future (meaning we have some ACC games wrapped up early)

I heard today that he hurt his ankle and that is why he hasn't dressed out the last 2 games. Gott also said he has talked to Staats and his parents re the DUI.

He wasn't drunk but he had been drinking and was underage. Should have known better but he's a good guy and comes from a good family. Hopefully he'll use this as a learning experience.

He hasn't gotten a pass. He hasn't even dressed out for the last two games since this happened.

I believe in second chances. He did something stupid and could have gotten himself or someone else killed. But we've all done stupid stuff when we were his age (maybe not this stupid, but I bet a lot of us have...)

But I don't believe in third chances. I say let him serve his sentence, sit out however many games, then welcome him back. And don't let it happen again.

Wow - this has become quite the p*ss*ng match. Let me know later who wins. Gonna go read more about Staats now and hope he learned his lesson. Not the kind of press coverage we need at State right now.

That's right, because you only want to troll NCSU fans. When the boards are flooded on here by a certain EWEnc fan, we see nary a post from you. But heaven forbid if one of us goes on another team's board, SOUND THE ALARM!!!!! ALL NCSU FANS ARE CRAZY!!! ONLY THEY HAVE A FRINGE!!! Yeah. Sounds like a real fan. GTFO.

Because State is my team, and I care about the behavior of my fellow State fans and don't really worry about what other schools' fans do.

I started one thread there that I can recall - the one calling the lunatic fringe back here to talk about State. Were there others? I might have had a post or two somewhere else. Ahhh, I get it - you want me to obsess about UNC and spend more time over there like my fellow State fans. Is that it? I'm sorry, but we non-fringers don't play that game.
