This is State's program changing game. It could alter their course for years to come. To Duke, it's just another game. They've already got their 6 wins vs top-50 RPI teams. Especially with Kelly out, the pressure is off them.
Interesting, Gottfried has no clue what to expect Saturday. Coach K could do so many different things with his lineup now that Kelly is out.
Tough to bet against Coach K. I like State alot this year but I just don't think they're ready to beat a team like Duke yet.

I think you're going a little overboard with that. State and Duke are both very good teams. At the moment, I think Duke is better. But State could lose this game, and still have a very successful season, make a deep run in the dance, etc.
Point being, the program has already changed. It happened at some point last season when the light bulb came on for State's players in this new offense. And we made good runs in the ACC and NCAA tournaments. This year, we added a top-5 recruiting class and didn't lose much from last year. We're (13-2, 2-0) right now and rolling along nicely.
We also have more good recruiting prospects for next year and beyond. We've already righted the ship. Now we just have to win more games.
Don't get me wrong, this would be a nice one. But we've won games like this before, only to sink right back down into the abyss. We could lose this one, and not sink this time around.
