Duke at State

Let's get it rolling here.

My thoughts:

CAN we beat Duke? YES. I believe we have the talent and capability to beat Duke

WILL we beat Duke Saturday? Unfortunately, I don't think we will. I say this because we haven't shown that we can play 40 minutes the way we play the last 4-6 minutes of the first 2 conference games. I see us playing along with our opponents too long, then start imposing our will late in the game and pulling out the W. I really hope I'm wrong and the Pack hits its stride Saturday and sends Duke back to Durham with their first loss.

Doubt we win this one either, Tommy. Duke is too good. But hopefully we can at least make a game out of it for a moral victory.

Richard Howell with have to stay in the game. Plumlee with test him. So, a quick few fouls on Howell could change the outcome of this game. Leslie will have to play hard, but should have a big advantage because Kelly is out. Curry is the key for Duke, I hope Wood can guard him and not foul out. State can win. This tarheel will be pulling for a state win, but really it's a win win for us.

I don't believe in moral victories. Close counts only in horseshoes and atomic bombs. :)

If we beat Duke, that will tell me that Duke isn't quite as good as they've been looking, and we are getting better quicker than I thought we would. Still a long way til March.

See, I don't know that Duke IS too good, if like TB said the Pack would play a full 40 minutes instead of turning it on here or there. The Pack could be very good if they could just put a complete game together. For whatever reason, they haven't been able to do so as yet. I blame the coaching. Maybe Leslie's ego is affecting the team, as well. Who knows?

You know how some teams match up well no matter who's better? I think this is one of those games. Win or lose I think it will be a 5 point game. Ncsu has the home court which is good. Some of the players remember last years 2nd half melt down and hopefully they know what not to do. Duke always comes out fighting after half time so if NCSU can keep that surge to a minimal and have a late rally I think NCSU can win. GO PACK!!!

Hmmm latest lines are blue 10.5 favs.....and Kelly out? I don't see it, not at the PNC, can Howell keep the whistlebirds off his back and keep plumbee to less than 20 in the paint.....key

It's all about Lorenzo Brown... if he dictates the tempo and plays DEFENSE... the Pack will win handily.

if he "lets the game come to him", and is lazy on D, State will lose.

No pressure, Zo.... just do what you know how to do....
